| According to demographers’ estimates,by 2050,there will be more than 10 million families losing independence in China.With the increasing age of the lost independence group,their spiritual sustenance and pension have become an important social problem in the current social transformation stage.In the process of exploring the basic situation of the elderly who lost their independence in street C,this paper finds that the elderly who lost their independence have some problems,such as the broken support network,the lack of support from their children,the lack of support from their neighbors,relatives and friends,etc.;the elderly care service has some difficulties,such as poor linkage,continuity,low social workers’ recognition,and slow work.Therefore,based on the perspective of social support network theory,relying on professional social organizations,and taking group work as the intervention carrier,this paper explores the situation of social workers constructing the mutual aid network for the elderly who lost their independence,which helps to gather more social resources,benefit more people who lost their independence,and provide continuous services for the elderly who lost their independence.Based on the theory of social support network and the government’s purchase of social work institutions to carry out the elderly care project for the disabled,this paper makes a detailed study on the social workers’ involvement in the elderly care service for the disabled,Starting from the process and content of the activities of the network group,this paper explores the path of building the network and the formation of the backbone of the elderly,and analyzes the effectiveness of social work in the development of the network group.Mutual aid network is one of the feasible ways to alleviate the current plight of the elderly and meet the diversified needs of the elderly.It is found that group work is effective in the construction of the mutual aid network for the elderly who are deprived of independence.The mutual aid network promotes the integration rate of the resources of the group who are deprived of independence.The backbone incentive developed in the group drives the development of the group members and promotes the continuity of services.The development of the group members from single assistance to mutual aid has alleviated the difficulties faced by the elderly who are deprived of independence. |
