Research On The Spirit Of Gratitude And Contenporary Value Of People In Wenchuan Earthquake Areas

The massive earthquake in Wen Chuan caused great losses to the people in the disaster areas.With the support and help of the Party,the state and all sectors of society,the people in the disaster areas survived the difficult period and started a new life.They are always grateful and forge ahead.Through the study of the gratitude spirit and contemporary values of the people in the disaster areas,it is clear about the representation,essence,characteristics,formation reasons and contemporary values of the gratitude spirit of the people in the disaster areas,which is conducive to carrying forward the gratitude spirit and giving play to its role in personal growth and social development.This research mainly adopts qualitative research method.Through in-depth interviews with 23 people in the disaster areas who have experienced the Wen Chuan earthquake,abundant first-hand information has been obtained.Then,following the research paradigm of grounded theory,Nvivo11 software was used to encode and analyze the interview data,to construct the representation,essence,characteristics and causes of the spirit of gratitude of the people in the disaster area,and to summarize the contemporary value of the spirit of gratitude of the people in the disaster area.The research found that: Wen Chuan earthquake disaster areas of the people’s spirit of gratitude for the performance of: The first,drinking water to think of the source,gratitude.The second,gratitude motivates the people in Wen Chuan earthquake stricken areas to struggle.The third,pass on the spirit of mercy to others.The spirit of gratitude of the people in Wen Chuan earthquake stricken areas has the characteristics of emotion,cohesion,motivation and inheritance.The spirit of gratitude of the people in Wen Chuan earthquake stricken areas is the product of the combination of national spirit and the spirit of the times,and the embodiment of the principle of socialist collectivism.The reasons for the formation of the spirit of gratitude of the people in Wen Chuan earthquake stricken areas are as follows: The first,The CPC’s concern for the people in Wen Chuan earthquake stricken area.The second,help from the whole society.The third,the people of the disaster areas to self-reliance and self-improvement.On the basis of summing up the spiritual representation,essence,characteristics and causes of the people’s gratitude in Wen Chuan earthquake stricken areas,this research probes into the contemporary value of the people’s gratitude in Wen Chuan earthquake stricken areas.The first,the gratitude spirit of the people in the disaster areas is the spiritual support for the people in the disaster areas to support the leadership of the party and promote harmonious military-civilian relations.The second,the spirit of gratitude of the people in the disaster areas is a great manifestation of the core socialist values.The third,the spirit of gratitude of the people in the disaster areas is the spiritual driving force for the development of the disaster areas.
