Research On The Use Of Smartphones In Urban Elderly Groups And Its Influencing Factors

Nowadays,intelligent services have been widely used in all aspects of national economy and people’s livelihood and become an important part of People’s Daily life.The occurrence of COVID-19 has also promoted the popularization of intelligent technology to a certain extent.The occurrence of COVID-19 has also promoted the popularization of intelligent technology to a certain extent.Influenced by the past living environment and ideology,the elderly have relatively weak awareness of the Internet,showing the phenomenon of less use or even no access to the Internet.As a result,they fail to enjoy digital convenience in the current rapid development of new media technology,and gradually become "Internet refugees".Especially after the outbreak of the epidemic,the frequency of use of digital intelligent services has increased,and the marginalization of the elderly in the wave of science and technology has become more prominent.In the context of normalization of epidemic prevention and control,intelligent society and active aging,it is of positive research significance to explore the current situation and influencing factors of the use of new media by the urban elderly.This paper takes the elderly in Shijiazhuang City as the research object,selects the most widely used smart phone in intelligent services as the new media representative,and conducts a questionnaire survey in Shijiazhuang City as the survey place.According to the collected survey data,the basic information and smart phone use behavior of the elderly group were analyzed,and the current situation and characteristics of smart phone use of the elderly in Shijiazhuang City were preliminarily understood.Through the construction of decision tree model and structural equation model,it further analyzes the influencing factors of smart phone use behavior and use degree of the elderly in Shijiazhuang City,and explores the methods and paths to improve the participation of the elderly in smart service.The main analysis conclusions of this paper are as follows: 1.Descriptive statistical analysis and cross analysis of basic information and smartphone use behavior of the elderly in Shijiazhuang City shows that the smartphone penetration rate of the elderly is high,and there are significant differences in smartphone use behavior among groups with different ages,incomes and educational levels.2.Based on the decision tree model of the smart phone use behavior of the elderly in Shijiazhuang,it is found that education level is the core variable affecting the smart phone use tendency of the elderly,among which the elderly who are in junior middle school or above are more inclined to use smart phones.3.Draw lessons from the TAM model construct structural equation model to Shijiazhuang to the old smartphone using impact factor analysis found that their own conditions and external environment affects the elderly perception using smartphones ease of use,perceived ease of use directly affects the degree of elderly people use smart phones,and indirectly through influence perceived usefulness influence degree of smartphones.Finally,on the basis of the investigation and analysis conclusions,this paper puts forward suggestions from the direction of the elderly own media literacy and media access environment,with a view to helping the elderly to better adapt to the needs of social development from the perspective of new media,and providing reference for actively responding to the aging population under the environment of epidemic prevention and control normalization.
