Evaluation Of The Regional Gap Of Basic Public Services Between The Western Minority Areas And The Eastern Coastal Areas

Since the reform and opening up,China’s political,economic,social and other fields have been developing at a speed that attracts the world’s attention.But with the rapid development,contradictions also appear.With the improvement of economic conditions and living standards,the people’s demand for basic public services is gradually increasing.However,based on the current situation,the development level of basic public services in China is difficult to meet the needs of the people,and there is a serious imbalance among regions,especially between the Western Ethnic Areas and the eastern coastal areas,It is becoming an obstacle for China’s economic and social development to move towards high quality.Therefore,to provide high-quality and equal basic public services is an important problem that needs to be studied and solved in the new era.In this paper,entropy method and Theil index method are used to analyze the basic public service gap in basic education,employment and social security,medical and health,culture and sports between the western minority areas and the eastern coastal areas.Then,the reasons for the regional gap in basic education,employment and social security,medical and health,culture and sports are deeply analyzed,Finally,it puts forward feasible countermeasures and suggestions to narrow the regional gap of basic public services between the western minority areas and the eastern coastal areas.
