The Non-governmental Organizations’ Achievements And Experience In The Vulnerable Children Protection

Based on the current situation of vulnerable children protection in China,the author takes S agency as an example,combined with literature analysis,in-depth interviews,questionnaires and participatory observation research methods,mainly studies the achievements and experience of social organizations participating in the protection of children in distress,and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for the problems found in the research.This paper has the following three basic findings:(1)S agency has great achievements in the protection of vulnerable children;(2)S agency’s success mainly stems from its consistent adherence to child protection as the mission,focus on building their own professional brand,with the government,schools,communities,social organizations,enterprises to establish a difficult child protection and common governance of the basic pattern,muti-welfare subjects to complete the welfare delivery of children in need,in addition,the agency adheres to the child-oriented;(3)There are still many difficulties and shortcomings in the work of child protection in the current S institutions,like the lack of institutional independence,the insufficient market participation and the limited resources of institutions and the poor management norms of the agency.Finally,the author puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions.It is suggested that the government should further simplify the separation of powers and provide impetus and space for social organizations,such as encouraging S institutions and other social organizations to transform to charitable organizations,perfecting the charitable trust system,constructing the legal system of services for children in need,simplifying the administrative procedures for the protection of children in need.
