Research On The Role Nanchong Municipal Government In The Development Of Modern Logistics Industry

Logistics industry is a composite service industry integrating transportation,warehousing,freight forwarding,information and other industries and logistics industry is also the basic,strategic and leading industry which supports the development of national economy.Accelerating the development of modern logistics industry is of great significance for promoting the adjustment of industrial structure,changing the mode of development,improving the competitiveness of national economy and building ecological civilization.Logistics industry involves many fields of social production and life,involving tens of millions of jobs and employees.It plays an important role in promoting the adjustment of national industrial structure,accelerating the transformation of economic development mode,enhancing national economic competitiveness and comprehensive national strength.Nanchong is located in the key position of the Western Triangle Economic Zone of Chengdu and Chongqing.It is the key northern central city of Chengdu and Chongqing Economic Zone.It is an important transportation hub and a planned port city.It has inherent advantages in the development of modern logistics industry.Based on the The New Public Service Theory and Market Failure Theory,the paper is to conclude and sum up the functions of local governments in the development of logistics industry.Through the literature methodology,the participatory observation,interviews and other research methods and collecting,analysing and reviewthe materials and data related to logistics industry,the paper is also to analyse the advantages and disadvantages of developing modern logistics industry in Nanchong,explore the present situation of development of modern logistics industry in Nanchong,find out the weekness of the functions of Nanchong government and the related reasons.On the basis of learning from the successful experience of some other local governments to develop logistics industry,this paper is to put forward some constructive measures and innovative suggestions for Nanchong government on how to further improve the role in the development of logistics industry,which is of great significance to promote better development in the fields economy and society for Nanchong.
