| With the advancement of China’s urbanization and industrialization,a large number of migrant workers gather in cities and become a wave of migrant workers. On the one hand, the rural surplus labor force has been transferred, which has effectively alleviated the contradiction between agricultural land,on the other hand,it has promoted the development of urbanization. However, after migrant workers enter the city, their willingness to stay in the city continues to decline, and they can not stay in the city for a long time, forming a phenomenon of migratory bird migration. At this stage, the demand for long-term residence of migrant workers in cities is different from that in the past. There has been the urgency of demand, and the differentiation between migrant workers is obvious. There are obvious intergenerational differences in the willingness of migrant workers to stay in cities for a long time and their demands for cities. Therefore, the research on migrant workers’ willingness to stay in cities for a long time and its influencing factors has strong practical application value.Based on labor migration theory and intergenerational difference theory, this paper studies the influencing factors of migrant workers’ willingness to stay in cities for a long time.Firstly,it expounds the research background and significance of the paper, and defines the related theoretical basis, literature review and related basic concepts. The second is the general analysis of migrant workers’ willingness to stay in cities for a long time, including development, residence evolution and willingness analysis. Finally,we empirically use binary Logistics model to test the influencing factors of migrant workers’ urban long-term residence intention, and further compare and analyze the influencing factors of the new and old generation of migrant workers’ urban long-term residence intention. The results show that:(1)the development of migrant workers in cities shows changes in population size, age structure, economic income, living environment and basic public services.(2)the overall long-term residence intention of migrant workers in China is 45.8%,and the degree of residence intention is low.(3)There are obvious differences between the new generation and the old generation of migrant workers in urban long-term residence willingness, which is manifested in that the residence willingness of the new generation of migrant workers is higher than that of the old generation of migrant workers.(4)In terms of the influencing factors of migrant workers’ urban long-term residence intention, age, education, marriage, family income, resident population, housing type, identity, communication, activity participation, medical insurance and other factors have a significant impact on the long-term residence intention.(5)There are similarities and differences in the influencing factors of the new and old generation of migrant workers’ willingness to stay in cities for a long time. Finally, according to the conclusion of the research summary, combined with the actual situation, put forward appropriate policy suggestions for migrant workers: first, strengthen the vocational training of migrant workers and improve the quality of employment.Second, improve urban construction and promote the integration of migrant workers into the city.Third, pay attention to intergenerational differences and differentiated incentive policies.Fourth, improve social security policies to protect the rights and interests of migrant workers. |
