Improving Labour Rights Through Trade Unions Under China-Tanzania Cooperation

The main aim of this study was designed to assess how Trade Unions facilitates Human Rights as a key Conceptual Improvement of labour rights as a means to abolish the Gap and Misunderstanding between China-Tanzania Cooperation in Political,Economical and Social Diplomatic relations under Supportive Development Projects which are from the Belt and Road Initiatives following a trend of having ups and down in their relations.This dissertation was based on three objectives namely:To assess the effectiveness of Trade Unions in the promotion of workers’ rights in Zanzibar especially under China-Tanzania Cooperation projects and the challenges facing Trade Unions,To examine the approaches that labour Inspectors use to promote workers’ rights and to explore the challenges facing Labour Inspectors under Trade Union in promoting workers’rights from programs and projects under China-Tanzania Cooperation in Zanzibar and to recommend the improvement of labour rights for maintain industrial cooperation on grounds of peace and harmonious working environment by identified strategies that will enhance improving better cooperation and commitment of labours in projects under Sino-Tanzania relationship in ZanzibarThe study employed a mixed method whereby it has both Qualitative and Quantitative designs for data collection combined with using Questionnaires and Interview methodsFurther,the findings show that there are different approaches used by Trade Unions in the improvement of labour rights in Zanzibar,the findings of this study indicated that there are numerous challenges facing Trade Unions and labour inspectors in promoting worker’s rights in Zanzibar like lack of funds,lack of participation in decision making and lack of awareness of labour right and language barrier as means of communication for the labours Finally he study recommends that,Trade Unions should improve funds to Trade Unions finance,Increase awareness programs and training,Members reporting their problems to Trade Unions,Increase members in joining Trade Union.Trade Union should value their members by Cooperating with them in providing ideas which are advantageous in improving the Organizations of Trade Unions so as to increase work efficiency while at the same time protect workers freedom.Trade Unions should play a major role in improving Labour conditions of employees and employers in Sino-Tanzania Cooperation bilateral projects in support for development.
