Research On The Impact Of Technical Complexity On The Economic Development In Countries Along The "the Belt And Road Initiative"

“The belt and road initiative” is an "Innovative road"(Martin Jacques,2021).Since the "the belt and road initiative" was put forward,the level of technological and economic development of countries along the route has shown a common trend of improvement,but the unbalanced and complex characteristics of technological and economic development in this region are still remarkable.Therefore,it is an important proposition and has practical research significance to deeply explore the driving mechanism of technological innovation level to economic development in countries along “the belt and road initiative”.Based on the theory of endogenous growth and complex economics,this paper innovatively cuts in from the perspective of complexity,uses PATSTAT database(Autumn Edition,2020),selects the patent data of countries along "the belt and road initiative" from 2000 to 2020,uses HH algorithm to measure the technical complexity(TCI)of countries along "the belt and road initiative",and analyzes its characteristics,which expands the research perspective of technology-driven economic development of countries along "the belt and road initiative" and is helpful to.Furthermore,using the economic data in WDI data set and CSMAR database,and giving full play to the robustness and overall advantages of Panel Quantile Regression model,this paper analyzes the impact of technological complexity on economic development and the heterogeneity of regional and technological development level of countries along "the belt and road initiative",which will help to provide impetus for the economic development of countries along "the belt and road initiative" from a technical point of view,help the diversified development of countries along "the belt and road initiative" and achieve a win-win situation.According to the above research,this paper draws the following three conclusions:(1)Based on their own scientific and technological development level,the countries along "the belt and road initiative" show the structural characteristics of the interconnection and interaction between national development and advantageous technological fields;(2)The technological innovation level of the countries along "the belt and road initiative" is a favorable support for economic development,and it shows heterogeneity and diversity in space and quantiles;(3)China’s rapid development of technology in recent years has the potential to drive the surrounding areas to enhance their strategic position in the countries along "the belt and road initiative".According to the above three conclusions,this paper puts forward three policy suggestions for the technical and economic development of the countries along "the belt and road initiative".Finally,the research content of this paper is reflected and prospected.
