Social anxiety refers to the tendency of individuals have a tendency to feel nervous and want to avoid when they are in interpersonal situations.College students are in a period of high interpersonal sensitivity and are prone to be troubled by social anxiety.Past studies have looked at the impact of negative life events on social anxiety as a risk factor, ignoring the role of social anxiety in promoting negative life events. In addition,intra-individual variability,an integral part of dynamic personality, has important implications for mental health. Objective:the purpose of this study was to investigate the longitudinal prediction effect of social anxiety on negative life events according to the stress-generation model, and to introduce the variable of interpersonal behavioral variability to test its mediating effect between social anxiety and negative life events, with depression as the control variable.Methods:226 college students were measured four times by communication anxiety scale, adolescent life event questionnaire,self-designed interpersonal situation questionnaire and flow center depression scale.Random intercept cross-lagged model and cross-lagged model were used to test the longitudinal prediction between variables, and the two methods were compared.Results:(1)except for social anxiety, the scores of other variables all tended to decrease with the increase of the number of measurements.(2)at T1,the interpersonal behavior variability and social anxiety of girls were significantly higher than that of boys, and at T2,the interpersonal behavior variability was significantly higher than that of boys. The amount of non-interpersonal negative life event stimulation of male students was significantly higher than that of female students in T3 and T4.At T4,depressive and negative life events in junior year were significantly higher than those in other grades.(3)there was a significant correlation between the same variable at different time points.Except that there was no correlation between interpersonal behavioral variability and negative life events, there was a significant correlation between variables of social anxiety, interpersonal behavioral variability and depression.(4)there is no longitudinal prediction relationship between social anxiety and negative sexual events, and it is correlated with interpersonal behavioral variability at the individual level.(5)depression and interpersonal behavioral variability, interpersonal negative life events are correlated at the individual level, and are bi-directional predictors of non-interpersonal negative life events.Although social anxiety longitudinal prediction function on negative life events has not been confirmed, but depression and bi-directional prediction function to prove the human negative life events stress generated the applicability of the model samples in China, under the premise of the future research can improve the research methods to further explore pressure generated the applicability of the model in the social anxiety.Although the mediating effect of interpersonal variability has not been confirmed, the correlation between social anxiety and depression indicates that it is an inseparable part of personality.
