With the popularization and deepening of educational informatization,new educational concepts and teaching methods such as STEAM education and customer ’creation education have attracted more and more attention from the educational circles.Experts and scholars at home and abroad have combined these new ideas and methods with teaching work in various disciplines,forming new fields and new topics for teaching research in various disciplines.This study is to explore the possibility of the integration of STEAM education and creative education,and to apply it in the field of chemistry in junior high schools.First of all,this study analyzes the current situation of the creative education activities taking chemical creative education as an example,discusses the development and characteristics of the creative education activities,investigates the problems existing in the creative education activities by using the interview method,and analyzes the causes of the problems according to the interview results.Secondly,this study analyzes the STEAM-based creative education activity mode that has been implemented in teaching,finds out the problems in the mode and puts forward the improvement scheme according to the problems,designs the STEAM chemical creative education activity design mode and elaborates the five links in the mode.Finally,this study will design the design mode of STEAM chemical creative education activities to be implemented in junior high school chemistry disciplines,and analyze the implementation effect of the activities through questionnaires and interviews.The results show that STEAM chemical creative education activity design model has achieved good application effect in improving students’ interdisciplinary literacy and creative literacy.
