In the era of big data,data and creativity are the fundamental driving force of digital economy.The "play" activities of platform users have created a lot of wealth for the Internet industry.From the perspective of industrial value,this paper discusses how network users promote the development of the Internet industry and what kind of value they have created.Using ethnography,case analysis and other methods,and on the basis of literature review and concept analysis,this paper proposes that digital labor is a process in which network users generate value by performing non-specific activities in virtual space.The emergence of digital labor has its internal motivation.The development of digital technology makes "labor socialization",that is,"anytime,anywhere" labor possible.The form of digital labor and the product of digital labor are the "secret" of the development of the Internet industry.The "crowdsourcing" mechanism solves the problem of task allocation and platform content construction."Non-employment" reduces costs to nothing.On this basis,the digital workers’ "play" activities produced two levels of products,namely,the flow of the foreground,background data precipitation.The vitality and creativity of individuals promote the sustainable development of digital labor.On the basis of the comprehensive data of users,digital laborers "permanently" empower the Internet industry.Therefore,we should affirm and attach importance to the important economic significance and industrial value contained in digital labor,at the same time,we should guard against the exploitation strengthened by digital labor and regulate it appropriately,so as to promote the healthy and orderly development of the Internet industry.
