This study focuses on the impact of mobile addiction on the interpersonal relationship of college students,as well as the mediating role of alexithymia and social avoidance.519 college students from 5 universities in Heilongjiang Province were selected as subjects, using the Interpersonal Comprehensive Diagnostic Scale, the Toronto Alexithymia Scale, the Mobile Phone Addiction Index Scale, the Social Avoidance and Distress Scale.research shows:(1)The independent sample t-test showed that there was no significant difference in the demographic variables such as gender, place of origin, only child, and discipline.One-ANOVA analysis of variance showed that There are significant differences in the inefficiency of college students in different grades. There are significant differences in the total scores of mobile phone addiction index and inefficiency among college students of different school types. The scores of college students in key colleges are higher than ordinary college students in the dimension of mobile phone addiction index and inefficiency.(2)The independent samples t-test showed that there was no significant difference in the alexithymia and its dimensions in different disciplines, different school types, and whether she or he was the only child. There are significant differences in the total scores of alexithymia and the inability to describe emotions among college students from different places of origin. The rural college students scored significantly higher than the urban college students in the total score of the alexithymia and the emotional description.(3)College students’ social avoidance is at a lower-middle level. The multivariate analysis of variance of the only or not and birthplace shows that the main effect of the place of origin is not significant, the main effect of the only child is not significant, and the interaction between the only child and birthplace is significant.(4)The independent sample t-test showed that the total score of interpersonal relationship and the heterosexual interaction had significant gender differences, and the boys scored higher than girls.Demographic factors such as different grades, different school types, and whether they are only children have no obvious influence on the total scores of interpersonal relationships and all dimensions. There are significant differences in the dimensions of interpersonal relationship problems and heterosexual communication problems among college students of different disciplines. In the dimension of interpersonal relationship troubles and heterosexual communication, the scores of science and engineering college students are significantly higher than those of liberal arts college students. There are significant differences between college students from different places of origin,The scores of college students from rural areas are significantly higher than those from urban areas in the dimensions of interpersonal relationship distress and communication distress and heterosexual communication.(5)Correlation analysis shows that there is a significant positive correlation between college students’ mobile addiction index and alexithymia, social avoidance and interpersonal relationships.(6)The structural equation model shows that mobile phone addiction can affect interpersonal relationship problems through the mediating role of alexithymia, the mediating role of social avoidance, and the chain mediation of alexithymia→social avoidance. Therefore,we can think that mobile phone addiction index and alexithymia and social avoidance may be the important factors that cause the interpersonal relationship problems of college students. In the process of interfering with the interpersonal relationship of college students,we can reduce college students’ mobile addiction and cultivate college students’ discrimination ability, the ability of describe oneself and others’emotions and feelings, reduce social avoidance behaviors in real life, learn interpersonal skills, and then obtain healthy and harmonious interpersonal relationships and promote college students’ mental health.
