| The Internet is a double-edged sword. While it brings great convenience to our lives, many groups are addicted to the virtual world.Due to their own physical and psychological characteristics, and adolescents are in a critical period of growth,Internet addiction seriously endangers adolescents’ physical and mental health,parent-child relationships and even life development. However, currently there are few effective treatments for adolescents to deal with Internet addiction, mainly psychological treatment supplemented with drug treatment, and there are still a few treatment institutions that use ridiculous military training or even corporal punishment to quit adolescents’ Internet addiction. The author believes that social work can play a role that cannot be replaced by other methods in the process of quitting Internet addiction. For the client,W,based on the psychosocial treatment model,The author carried out intervention services from three levels: physical, psychological and social. On the one hand, the direct intervention method is used to help the client to reduce Internet addiction;on the other hand, the indirect intervention method is used to improve the client’s survival system,to support the client from the outside, and to strive to create a good environment for the client’s future growth. The author, guided the client to realize the physical, psychological and social hazards of Internet addiction through in-depth talks with the client himself and his mother;helped the client to build confidence, improve academic performance, and change the character of inferiority through the counseling of learning methods;through the development of family story,it will help the client and family members to improve the communication method and parent-child relationship. In this study, the author used the Internet Addiction Test Scale to test the extent of Internet addiction and evaluate the effect of intervention. Before the intervention service started, the client’s score was 70,which was moderate internet addiction. At the end of the intervention service, the client’s score was 38,which was mild internet addiction. At the same time, the author performed standard deviation analysis on the single-day network use time of the client, and calculated that the average of the client’s 7 single-day network use time before the intervention began was 8.36 hours and the standard deviation was 0.64;After receiving intervention, the client’s 7 single-day Internet access times were 5 times below the baseline average of 2 standard deviations, indicating that the social worker’s intervention service for the client was effective.Through this study, the author believes that the psychosocial treatment model has certain effects on the treatment of adolescent Internet addiction, and has unique advantages. The psychosocial treatment model requires social workers to carry out intervention services from various aspects, which can better improve the quality of life of the client and help the client improve the social system in which he is living. The social system, especially the family system, where the client is located can provide continuous material support and spiritual encouragement for the client to quit Internet addiction.A well-functioning family system after social worker intervention can reduce the risk of relapse of the client. |
