In 2019,China decided to expand the enrollment of higher vocational colleges by one million,which shows that our country once again believes that the development of vocational education plays an important role,and secondary vocational colleges are indispensable parts of vocational education,so they also bear a very important task in the cultivation of talents.At present,the Ministry of education has also launched the "1 + X" certificate program,which combines academic certificates with vocational skill credential,in order to cultivate high-quality talents with practical operational capability.Therefore,in order to improve the level of students’ professional skills,especially in accounting,a teaching method that focuses on the development of students’ practical ability is necessary.Case teaching is a comparatively maturate teaching method,it is of great significance to apply case teaching to basic accounting course of secondary vocational colleges.On the basis of consulting the teaching materials of accounting major in secondary vocational colleges,especially the course of basic accounting,this paper investigates the research situation of case teaching at home and abroad,the understanding of the difference between case teaching method and traditional teaching,and systematically expounds the course and teaching characteristics of basic accounting in secondary vocational colleges.On the basis of this theory,through field survey,this paper investigates the current teaching situation of basic accounting in secondary vocational colleges in the form of interview and questionnaire.After dealing with the problems existing in the current course,we use case teaching method to design and practice cases in the basic accounting course,and put forward solutions and strategies for the problems that may occur in the implementation of the cases.In the end,the paper summarizes the whole paper,points out the existing problems and deficiencies from the internal and external,and puts forward the prospect for the development of future research.
