| Objectives The investigation is to understand the current situation and influencing factors of freshmen’s adaptability, and to provide theoretical basis for promoting freshmen’s mental health and preventing health problems. Methods On November,2018,a random cluster sampling method was adopted to conduct a questionnaire survey among 2,971 freshmen. The general information and mental health of freshmen were evaluated by using scale SOC-13,PSSS,APAGAR and self-designed campus function satisfaction questionnaire status, family and school satisfaction.Excel was used to input data and SPSS17.0 was used for analysis.Descriptive statistical analysis was used for general demographic characteristics, mean ± standard deviation was used for measurement data, frequency and composition ratio were used for counting data,t-test and variance analysis were used for single factor analysis, and linear regression analysis was used for multi factor analysis to analyze the factors affecting the adaptability of freshmen. Results 1 The total score of college freshmen’s adaptability was(108.68±13.07),and the mean score of college recognition, college overall evaluation, emotional adaptability, learning adaptability and interpersonal adaptability were(24.16±3.27),(27.97±4.98),(20.35±5.67),(15.33±2.68)and(20.87±3.28).2 Results of t-test and one-way ANOVA shows: the total adaptability score of freshmen, the degree of recognition of the University, the overall evaluation of the University in terms of gender, only child, student cadres, specialty, psychological consistency, understanding of social support, family economic status, family care, satisfaction with dormitory, satisfaction with library, satisfaction with canteen, satisfaction with campus surroundings, and satisfaction with humanistic environment and The difference is statistically significant(P<0.05);there were significant differences in emotional adaptability among gender, only child, psychological consistency, social support, dormitory satisfaction, library satisfaction, canteen satisfaction, campus satisfaction and human environment satisfaction(P<0.05);the differences of learning adaptability were statistically significant among gender, only child, student cadre, major, psychological consistency, social support, family economic status, family care, satisfaction with dormitory, library, canteen and humanistic environment(P<0.05);there are significant differences in interpersonal adaptability among the only child, student cadres, majors, psychological consistency, understanding of social support, family economic status, family care, satisfaction with dormitories, satisfaction with libraries, satisfaction with canteens, satisfaction with campus surroundings and satisfaction with human environment(P<0.05).3 The results of multivariate linear analysis show that, the total score of Freshmen’s adaptability is related to their satisfaction with the library, the humanistic environment, the campus surroundings, the psychological consistency, whether they are the only child, the family economic situation, the canteen, the social support, the dormitory, the gender, the student cadres and the major(P<0.05);the degree of recognition of the university is related to the satisfaction of the library, the surrounding campus, whether it is the only child, the sense of psychological consistency, the family economic situation, the satisfaction of the human environment, the understanding of social support, the satisfaction of the canteen, the degree of family care, the gender, whether it is a student cadre or a major(P<0.05);the overall evaluation of the university is related to the satisfaction with the library, the sense of psychological consistency, the only child, the dormitory, the surrounding campus, the human environment, the family economy, the canteen, the social support and gender(P<0.05);college freshmen’s emotional adaptability is related to their satisfaction with the human environment, library, campus surroundings, only child, psychological consistency, gender, dormitory and social support(P<0.05);college freshmen’s learning adaptability is related to their sense of psychological consistency, satisfaction with the library, understanding of social support, satisfaction with the canteen, only child, family economic status, satisfaction with the dormitory, family care, gender and major(P<0.05);college freshmen’s interpersonal adaptability and psychological consistency, satisfaction with the library, satisfaction with the campus surroundings, satisfaction with the human environment, only child, satisfaction with the dormitory, satisfaction with the canteen, family economic situation, understanding of social support, whether the student’s department is related to the major(P<0.05).Conclusions 1 The adaptability of freshmen is in the middle level.2 Satisfaction with the library, satisfaction with the human environment of schol, satisfaction with the campus surroundings, psychological consistency, whether the only child, family economic status, satisfaction with the canteen, understanding of social support, satisfaction with the dormitory, gender, student cadres and major are the influencing factors of freshmen’s adaptability.Figure 0: Table14;Reference 162... |
