In the process of the reform and development of art education in China,the National Education Department issued the "Elementary school picture syllabus(Draft)" and "Junior middle school picture syllabus(Draft)" in 1956.which can be seen that the art course was widely used as a "drawing class".With the change and development of the art education era,the teaching form of elementary school art classes has been more comprehensive and comprehensive.On the basis of drawing lessons,it involves the use of richer teaching materials to diversify art classes.In order to promote the development of students’ comprehensive qualities,the "Compulsory Education Art Curriculum Standards"(2011 edition)divides the art study curriculum into four learning areas by means of activities,of which the "Modelingperformance" field is in China’s primary and secondary school compulsory education art courses Occupies a considerable position in the teaching.It is particularly pointed out in the content of this field that art learning cannot simply impart art knowledge and skills.In order to improve students’ ability to observe,create and visual aesthetics,and enable students to experience the fun of art activities,training for hands-on ability is increased,emphasizing guidance Students use different materials to design and produce works,and independently explore a variety of modeling materials to express methods.Through questionnaire surveys and interviews with teachers,I learned that at this stage of the "Modeling-performance" class,there is a problem of teaching paper and pen for painting activities,which is not conducive to the cultivation of students’ ability in all aspects and their long-term development;In addition,because of the hand-made materials involved in the field of "Modeling-performance" in the current textbooks,such as paper,clay,wood,cloth,etc.,the materials are not conducive to operation,and they lack the ability to train students’ modeling and innovation.As a hand-made material,ultra-light clay makes up for these defects to a great extent.Based on "Compulsory Education Art Curriculum Standards"(2011 edition)as the starting point,and based on Gardner’s Multiple Intelligence Theory and Dewey’s Activity Curriculum Theory,focus on finding the coincidence between ultralight clay and elementary school art teaching;by exploring elementary school art Class and the application status of ultra-light clay,analyzes the teaching feasibility of the combination of ultra-light clay and multiple materials in the "modeling-performance" class,and explores its combination with multiple materials;Teaching principles and teaching methods are combined with case studies to form a model worthy of promotion;specific ultra-light clay teaching and design is carried out,and teaching and practical explorations are carried out.The material of ultra-light clay is used to cultivate students’ modeling ability and creative thinking.The value of multiple abilities is designed to cultivate students’ abilities and rise to the expression of personal emotions and thoughts.It has a positive effect on the teaching of art modeling and expression in elementary school.
