With the development of the society,the elementary school fine arts education is more and more brought to the attention of the parents and the fine arts education workers,and the handicraft class as an exercise in the art teaching children's hands and mind ability and creation ability of curriculum content has also been widely as soon as possible.By the author in hunan fine arts publishing house in the elementary school fine arts textbook compulsory education of China(2013 edition),in the elementary school fine arts teaching,the construction the proportion of about 25%.However,according to the traditional fine arts teaching methods,follow the teacher,students according to drawing,teachers,students,according to do teaching mode makes students study interest is not high,lack of classroom activity.The author has found that in the classroom teaching of fine art class,students have a high degree of affection for handicraft courses.But the handicraft class needs to have certain teaching material,to the teacher's practical ability and the teaching method have higher requirement.Moreover,the teaching materials will greatly affect the students' interest in learning and the enthusiasm of learning.There are a lot of materials used in the elementary school art handicraft class,such as clay,colored clay,waste goods,paper,corrugated paper,wire,etc.With the development of science and technology,new kinds of hand materials are constantly appearing.Ultralight clay is a new kind of manual material which is more safe and environmentally friendly than traditional clay and clay.Super light clay feel fine,colorful,pure color,texture is lighter,easy to use and save feature can well meet the requirements of the elementary school fine arts classroom teaching,also conforms to the psychological needs of primary school students ages on shaping.How to make teachers and students better understand ultra-light clay in the teaching of art handicraft in primary school is the main purpose of this paper.Manual part of xiangtan city and county elementary school curriculum present situation of the application of the super light clay has carried on the questionnaire survey,to analyze the related data,to explore the feasibility of super light clay art handicraft class teaching in elementary school and use methods to explore,mining super light clay in the elementary school fine arts function in the construction,in order to improve the effect of classroom teaching,strengthen the cultivation of the student beginning ability.
