Short video because of the short play time,content,refined,convenient portable,manufacturing process,material mass,the characteristics of video platform is widely used in the social life,short video has the advantage of comprehensive,make full use of fragmented time,therefore in the teaching with the application prospect,is worth further study,especially in this year’s new coronavirus environment,the whole society "closed not suspended" between teachers and students,live online,a short video teaching the new teaching method showed the application advantages of strong,short video form compared with ordinary small class,is the perfection of micro class time compression,content is key to open the door to build on the mountain,The scene arrangement is flexible and can be applied in combination with the characteristics of geographical knowledge in the geography teaching,which can not only present the knowledge in a unique way,but also attract students’ attention,so that students can have continuous interest in learning thanks to the content.In order to explore the application of short video in junior high school geography teaching effect,through a large number of literature,a thorough understanding of short video in the domestic and foreign research present situation and application status in junior high school geography teaching,on this basis,introducing a short video to the junior middle school geography teaching some,defining the relevant concepts of short video,clear short video material choice type,script production,the production of short video mode and the principle of short video material content,and in the different links in the process of geography teaching.Combining with the implementation process,in the implementation of teaching to carry out a short video application in geography teaching,using the questionnaire short video in junior high school geography teaching,through the comparison and analysis of survey results found that: through the short video in geography teaching,students’ interest in geography,classroom participation,to explore the ability of learning and analyzing geographic problems and the ability to solve the problem of geography has a certain degree.Therefore,it is suggested that the application of short video in geography teaching in the realistic teaching environment can improve the effect of geographyclassroom teaching and should be promoted in junior middle school geography teaching.The introduction mainly expounds the research background and significance of short video in geography teaching,research status at home and abroad,theoretical basis and research methods.The first chapter defines the concept of short video teaching,and analyzes the feasibility of short video teaching in geography teaching from constructivism,audio-visual education theory and Bruner’s cognitive structure learning theory.The second chapter Through the above analysis,to determine the specific short video link in the geography teaching application,as well as a short video showing the specific application cases in junior high school geography teaching.The third chapter compares and analyzes the effect before and after the implementation of short video teaching through actual surveys.Students acceptance of short video in geography teaching summarizes the positive effects and advantages of short video application in junior high school geography teaching.Through the above analysis,The fourth chapter summarizes the deficiencies exist in the short video teaching junior high school geography and proposed optimization strategy.The fifth chapter investigates and analyzes the effect of the case before and after the implementation with the method of questionnaire survey,and then summarizes the implementation effect.
