With the deepening of basic education curriculum reform,situational teaching,as a teaching method consistent with the concept of curriculum reform,has been favored by many geography educators and front-line geography teachers.It plays an important role in stimulating students' interest in geography learning and improving teaching efficiency.At present,situational teaching has been widely used by geography teachers in classroom teaching.According to the survey,teachers mostly use situational teaching in classroom introduction,which is only used to arouse students' interest,and the connection with classroom teaching is not deep enough.At present,situational teaching is mostly used in human geography,and the source of materials for situational teaching is not rich enough,which restricts the further promotion of geographical situational teaching.In order to promote the optimization of geographical situational teaching process,enrich the creation of geographical situation,go deep into the theoretical research of geographical situation and ensure efficient teaching,the author tries to develop short video as the material source of situational teaching.This thesis carries out research work in the following aspects:Firstly,through literature analysis,this thesis studies the background,significance and research progress of the application of short video in geography teaching and situational teaching in geography;It also defines the concepts of short video and situational teaching.Secondly,during the author's educational practice,the questionnaire survey method is used to investigate all the students of senior one,and the interview method is used to interview the front-line geography teachers of the school,analyze the current development and application status of short video in physical geography situational teaching in senior high school,and analyze the advantages and feasibility of short video in physical geography situational teaching.Finally,according to the analysis of the survey results,it clarifies the connection point between short video and situational teaching,studies the development of short video and its creation and application in the context,explores the method of applying short video to physical geography situational teaching combined with specific teaching cases,applies it to practical teaching according to the teaching situation,evaluates the teaching effect after collecting and analyzing the data,and finally draws a conclusion.Through the above work,this research has achieved the following results: through practical research,the application of short video in physical geography situational teaching is conducive to strengthening the interaction between teachers and students,enriching the teaching content of physical geography and stimulating students' enthusiasm for natural geography learning.At the same time,it makes up for the shortcomings of traditional teaching,improves the enthusiasm of students' participation in class,enhances the awareness of problem exploration and the ability to solve problems,and improves students' comprehensive ability.
