The early Western Marxist "totality" thought laid the ideological tradition and critical path of Western Marxism,and played an important role in the development process of Western Marxism.It became the core category of its theoretical schema and was the philosophical premise of its social historical view.From the standpoint of pedagogy,the study of the "total" thought has become the theoretical key to understanding the Western Marxist ideological trend and its educational effects.Early Western Marxism deeply revealed the totality of modern society.The ultimate concern of its theory is the realization of human emancipation and self-realization,that is,the generation of "overall humans".As an activity to cultivate people,education also has a "total desire".It is the noble mission of education to realize the "total people" and the free and comprehensive development of people.The "materialized" survival situation of modern people is also the actual situation faced by education;the development of "one-way" of modern people requires education to play a role in achieving "overall people".Taking the overall category of early Western Marxism as an entry point,analyzing the educational implications therein not only plays an important role in observing and commenting on the entire Western Marxist trend of thought,but also provides us with a unique theoretical perspective to study and analyze modern education.The overall idea of the research in this thesis is to take the early Western Marxist "totality" as the core domain,take education as the entry point and boundary,and use Marxist historical materialism and materialist dialectics as the judgment coordinates,and try to In the study,we find the internal harmony between the early Western Marxist "totality" thought and education,and look at the early Western Marxist "totality" thought and the educational implications it contains from the perspective of education.This paper believes that,first of all,totality is the eternal ideal of human existence and an indispensable dimension of education.It provides education with the ultimate concern for human existence and the scale of practical criticism.The only way to return to human nature;secondly,the early Western Marxist "totality" thought revealed the "materialization" situation of modern people and education,that is,the dissolution of the overall picture and the "adult" dilemma of education;again,education itself has achieved " The inherent requirements and actual needs of the "overall person" need to promote the final generation of the "overall person" from the educational concept to the educational action.Finally,while affirming the positive level of early Western Marxist "total" ideological education,it should also soberly realize that it deviates from historical materialism and strong utopia color and other theoretical biases,which needs to be chosen and discarded from the standpoint of education.
