| Vocabulary teaching is the most important part of primary English teaching,and it is also a difficult point.According to the Compulsory Education Curriculum standards(2011Edition),multiple teaching resources are recommended in the teaching activities of lower level learners at primary level.Teachers should make teaching content,form and process more intuitive、lively and vivid so as to adapt to children’s characteristics.TPR is a commonly used teaching approach in primary school English teaching It helps students to perceive the meaning of a word through physical reactions and physical movements This teaching method is suitable for the nature of primary school students.It can easily stimulate their interest and build their confidence in learning English.In recent years,TPR teaching method has been very popular in English teaching in China.The purpose of this paper is to study the effectiveness of the TPR(TPR)approach in application of English vocabulary teaching in primary school.It mainly studies the influence of TPR teaching method on students’ English vocabulary learning interest and learning efficiency in primary schoolTPR teaching method was applied to primary English vocabulary teaching.This paper mainly tries to study the following two questions1)Can the TPR method affect the interest of primary students in English vocabulary learning?2)Can TPR approach improve students’ vocabulary learning efficiency?Questionnaire and related experimental methods were applied to this paper.The subjects were from the third-grade students in the second Primary School in Jingtai county.Students are from two different classes There are 42 students in the control class and 40 in the experimental class.The contents of pre-test and post-test are vocabularies in book 1&book 2 of Grade Three.In order to testify the effectiveness of the TPR teaching method in vocabulary learning,the author designed vocabulary lessons for a period of 16 weeks.First,hand out vocabulary test papers.Secondly,collect vocabulary test scores.Finally,the test results are analyzed.Through pre-test and post-test.The experimental group compared with the control group.This paper demonstrates the influence of TPR teaching method on students’ learning interest and learning efficiencyThe study found:1.TPR teaching method significantly increased the interest of primary students in learning English vocabulary.2.TPR teaching method can effectively improve students’ vocabulary learning efficiency. |
