Abstract/Summary:
Since the reform and opening up,China’s urban-rural relationship has been undergoing constant adjustments and changes. It has gone from the formation of the urban-rural dual division system to the loosening of the urban-rural dual division system, and then to the overall development of urban and rural relations. At different stages of the evolution of urban-rural relations,China’s labor market is also constantly evolving, correspondingly experiencing periods of tortuous development, slow development, steady development, and increasingly perfection. The improvement of the labor market is closely linked to the integration and development of urban-rural relations, and labor mobility promotes the development of the labor market and the integration of urban-rural relations. The problem of labor mobility under the background of urban-rural integration is a research topic of great theoretical and practical significance. From a theoretical point of view, most existing scholars’ research on urban-rural relations focuses on the historical evolution, path, and problems faced by urban-rural development. For the problem of labor mobility, many scholars have analyzed the impact of urban-rural income gap on labor mobility.Or it may be the labor mobility caused by urban housing prices;and few researchers have done corresponding research on the factors affecting the labor mobility of urban and rural integration development based on the current national conditions. Therefore, combining the current national conditions and studying the issue of labor mobility from the perspective of urban and rural development is helpful to reveal the internal relationship between urban and rural integration and labor mobility, and broadens the existing theoretical research perspectives. In practical terms, with the acceleration of the urbanization process and the continuous flow of labor to the cities, there will be a shortage of labor in the rural areas, which will inhibit the economic development of the rural areas and affect the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy. How to guide the rational flow of labor and promote the balanced development of urban and rural areas is a question worthy of consideration. In this context, studying the attractiveness of the degree of urban-rural integration development to labor inflows can also provide ideas and theoretical support for the implementation of the policy of urban-rural integration development in China. In the theoretical research part of this thesis, first of all,the relevant theories of the research issues are sorted out, introducing the historical evolution of China’s urban-rural development relationship, historical changes in labor mobility, and analysis of China’slabor market since the founding of New China, including The reform of the labor market and the analysis of the status quo of the labor market;secondly,on the basis of theoretical analysis, the dynamic mechanism of labor mobility and the effects of labor mobility are studied;again, through the use of urban and rural residents’ income ratio and the resident population urbanization rate, etc. For indicators, use factor analysis method to construct urban-rural fusion index;finally,KMO test and SMC test are conducted to ensure that the correlation between each indicator is relatively strong and suitable for factor analysis. The empirical part of this paper explores the measurement of the impact of urban-rural integration on labor mobility.First, use the urban-rural integration index constructed above as an indicator to measure the degree of urban-rural integration development,as the explanatory variable of panel regression, and the degree of labor mobility as the explained variable;second, after analyzing the urban-rural integration indicators of different provinces and cities, pass and CLDS data After matching and screening to obtain the effective number of samples,in the regression of the model of urban-rural integration development on labor mobility, the three individual level variables of gender, age and education level were selected,as well as unemployment rate, wages, industrial structure, population The five provincial-level variables of housing prices are used as control variables;finally,STATA13.0 is used to perform conditional LOGIT model regression to study the impact of urban-rural integration development on labor mobility, and conclude that urban-rural integration development has a positive effect on labor mobility. Conclusions and recommendations of this paper.According to the previous theoretical analysis and empirical verification,it is believed that the construction and economic development of rural areas should be strengthened to promote labor mobility.Based on this viewpoint, corresponding policy recommendations are given.
