Research On The Action Of Sex Education For Children In Senior Class Based On Picture Book

The cognitive demand for sex is a natural demand in the process of children’s physical and mental development.It is necessary to carry out appropriate sex educa tion for children in accordance with the law of their physical and mental development,which will lay a foundation for their sexual development.In recent years,there are many cases of sexual assault on preschool children,which force parents,educators a nd other social parties to think about the urgency of carrying out early childhood education.As a professional educational institution,kindergartens should shoulder the responsibility of sex education for children together with their families.The excellent picture books suitable for children’s reading are the main resources for kindergarten’s educational activities.Therefore,it is the focus of this study to effectively carry out sex education activities in kindergartens with the excel ent theme of sex education as the carrier.This research mainly adopts action research method,which is divided into three parts:The first part is the preparation stage of action research.It includes the collection and sorting of relevant literature,the determination of pilot kindergartens for action research and the integration of research communities,the collection of data through early research to understand the development and embodiment of children’s sexual psychology,sexual concept and curiosity,and the formulation of children’s education programs on the basis of reality,to provide theoretical basis and specific implementation programs for action research.The second part is the implementation process of action research,which follows the operation procedure of "plan action observation reflection",and carries out three stages: the first stage designs "cognition of the origin of life" with picture book "mystery of life" as the carrier,so as to stimulate children’s interest in reading and use picture book to answer children’s curiosity;In the second stage,the picture book "I will protect myself" is used as the carrier to design the education activity "self care and privacy protection".The research purpose is for children to master certain self privacy protectio n skills through reading the picture book of sex education.In the third stage,the picture book "Boys and girls" is used as the carrier to design the education activity "gender role cognition".The research purpose is for children to be able to learn from gender In essence,it distinguishes men and women and reduces gender stereotypes.The third part is the research summary and suggestions.Through the implementation of action research,we can draw the following conclusion: the picture book of sex educatio n is an effective carrier,but not the only one.Under the support of the research conclusion,the following education suggestions are put forward: kindergarten education and family education should cooperate with each other and implement together.
