Learning in Regular Class is a practice mode with Chinese characteristics in China’s inclusive education.In the recent years,with the advancement of policies,the quantity of regular classes in inclusive education has been greatly improved.However,the quality is not optimistic.School adjustment of the special students is an important factor affecting the quality of regular class learning.Good school adjustment helps special students to gain peer friendship,develop their cognitive abilities,and even promote the positive development of their emotions and interpersonal communication after adulthood.Therefore,investigation on the school adjustment process of the visually impaired students learning in regular class(VISLRC)has both theoretical and practical meanings to China’s inclusive education implement and mental health of the VISLRC group.This research focuses on three visually impaired students in regular classes,using the narrative research method.By collecting the original data by interview method,anecdotal observation method,and etc.The collected data are transcribed,coded,and classified,to generate the live text.Based on the school adaptive theoretical model,three-dimensional narrative exploratory theory,the stories of three VISLRC in regular class was composed,using the text analysis of category-contents mode.After a thorough analysis of the stories,main conclusions are extracted as follows:1.The problems of the VISLRC encountered in school: Poor adaptiveness to the school courses;Malajustment in interpersonal relationship;Prominent emotional problems;Withdrawing behavior;Isolation of Self-cognition.2.Inner and outer factors that affecting the VISLRC school adaptiveness.Inner factors:Their own disabilities;Herd mentality.Outer ones: The VISLRC partners Factor;Teacher Factor School Factor.3.Build a theoretical model for the school adaptiveness.,incluvice academic,interpersonal,emotional,behavior aspects,and the identity acceptance.4.This research attempts to summarize the experience,and also put forwards corresponding suggestions for some problems: Add emotional guidance courses for the VISLRC;Promote successful VISLRC examples in inclusive education.Carry out VISLRC relevant activities.Put policies ‘learning in regular class’ into practice.Impel the construction of barrier-free environment.
