| The ultimate goal of education is to promote people’s all-round development.We should not only teach knowledge and skills in class,but also guide students to learn self-management,and the management of spare time is an important part of self-management.Therefore,reasonable,healthy and scientific management of spare time is of great significance to secondary vocational students.Secondary vocational education is an important part of China’s education system.In reality,secondary vocational school students’ awareness of after-school time management is very weak.At present,there is very little research on secondary vocational school students’ after-school time management in China.In view of this reason,this study finds out the problems and reasons of secondary vocational school students’ spare time management through the field investigation of sample schools,and puts forward feasible suggestions for these reasons.It studies three representative secondary vocational schools in Sichuan Province.Through the methods of literature,questionnaire survey,interview and case analysis,combined with the previous researchers’ research results on spare time management,the author compiled the following four kinds of questionnaires: the "questionnaire on secondary vocational school students’ Spare time management","return visit questionnaire on Graduates’ spare time management",the "questionnaire on secondary vocational school teachers’ " and the "questionnaire on Parents’ ".On the basis of reliability and validity test,the author investigates 1173 secondary vocational students,355 graduates,111 secondary vocational teachers and 94 secondary vocational students’ parents in the three secondary vocational schools.In order to make the survey results more accurate,in-depth interviews were conducted with counselors,teachers in secondary vocational schools and direct leaders of graduate units.Based on this,the author puts forward corresponding countermeasures for students themselves,their families and schools.Based on the research results,the following problems are found in the spare time management of secondary vocational students: lack of scientific methods of spare time management,poor planning and implementation of spare time management;Unreasonable distribution of spare time,low efficiency utilization of fragment time,too long Internet time and too little physical exercise time;Secondary vocational students generally do not have practical career planning,and their goals are not clear.It result in the low integration of extracurricular activities and personal development;Besides,the quality of Secondary vocational schools for students’ spare time management is not high.The reasons are as follows: the low personal comprehensive quality of these students,lack of positive motivation,poor learning and living habits,insufficient understanding of the importance of secondary vocational education,weak ability to deal with interference,easily affected by the surrounding atmosphere;Parents of secondary vocational students do not pay attention to spare time,and the parents’ words and deeds is not conducive to their children;The freshman orientation is lack of pertinence,the semester of career courses and the distribution of class hours are unreasonable,class counselors did not fully guide students,and teachers lack of attention to students’ spare time management.In view of the above problems,the author puts forward some reasonable suggestions: secondary vocational students should learn and master the scientific methods of time management,do a good job in the target and efficiency management of spare time,improve the ability of plan implementation,and establish the awareness of health management of spare time;Parents should strengthen the nurturing role of the family and carry out educational intervention;Schools should strengthen the cooperation among various functional departments,and fully mobilize the guidance of counselors and teachers to secondary vocational students. |
