| In 2020,the force majeure of the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic once again pushes the employment difficulty of college graduates to a historical peak.Facing such a special and severe employment situation,college students feel unprecedented employment pressure.This article takes college graduates as the research object,selects employability as independent variable,coping styles of employment pressure,career decision-making self-efficacy as intermediary variables,and employment performance as dependent variable to explore the methods and ways to improve the employment performance of contemporary college graduates.This research adopts the questionnaire survey method,selects and refers to the relatively mature questionnaire as the measurement tool,and mainly conducts the questionnaire survey with 300 college graduates from universities in Sichuan and Chongqing as the subjects.Through empirical research,this thesis analyses the overall level of college students’ employability,career decision-making self-efficacy and employment performance,explores how the employability of college graduates affects employment performance,and further tests the chain mediating role of the employment pressure coping styles and career decision-making self-efficacy in the effect of employability on employment performance.The results shows:(1)There is a significant difference in gender between employability and career decision-making self-efficacy,and there exists a significant difference in family economic status between employability,career decision-making self-efficacy,employment pressure self-orientation,and employment pressure external orientation.(2)There are pair wise correlation among employability,coping styles of employment pressure,career decision-making self-efficacy,and employment performance.(3)The coping styles of employment pressure play a mediating role between employability and career decision-making self-efficacy.(4)The coping styles of employment pressure play a mediating role between employability and employment performance.(5)Career decision-making self-efficacy plays a mediating role between employability and employment performance.(6)The coping styles of employment pressure and career decision-making self-efficacy play a chain mediating role between employability and employment performance.The influence of employability on employment performance can be studied through the chain-like mediating effect of employment pressure coping styles and career decision-making self-efficacy.The empirical results show that the chain mediating effect is significant,which clarifies that the feasible way to improve employment performance is to improve employability.Coping with employment pressure correctly and promoting self-efficacy of career decision-making are all conducive to directly or indirectly improving employment performance.It provides a new direction and theoretical basis for the improvement of employment performance. |
