| Over the last two decades,ICT has proven to be a reliable tool in terms of developmental processes around the world.From health to agriculture as well as governance to education,ICT has been found to be helpful in the field of education;ICT is an essential tool to improve and develop teaching-learning.However,the application of information and communication technology in education has both success and failure.In Djibouti,with a digital telecom network and a government policy on ICT in education ranges from e-learning platform to broadcasting lessons on TV and radio;they are more doubt for the future of ICT in education.The study sought to investigate "in-service teachers’ ICT literacy in Balbala municipality of Djibouti." What is the level of teachers’ knowledge and attitude toward ICT literacy?In doing this,this study employed a qualitative approach and survey methods.Using the purposive sampling of non-probability sampling techniques,data was generated with the help of questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics.The findings of this study demonstrate that the majority of in-teachers had low-level ICT knowledge,skills,and negative perception of ICT.Recommendations are made teachers should be given the training on how to use ICT in teaching and to improve the situation in using ICT in teaching. |
