Research On The Influence Mechanism Of Social Connection On The Performance Of Small And Medium-sized Enterprises

As the most innovative group,SMEs have become the main force of national economic and social development.However,in the face of the complex environment and downward economic pressure at home and abroad,the majority of SMEs due to the "small and weak" innate disadvantages and resource constraints make it difficult for SMEs to break through the resource dilemma and achieve sustainable development.Whether SMEs can successfully overcome the resource dilemma is a key issue that determines their future development prospects.The acquisition,integration and utilization of resource elements are of great significance to the survival and subsequent development of SMEs.Studies have shown that the social connection formed between SMEs and external entities is a bridge for communication between the organization and individuals and groups inside and outside the organization,which can effectively expand the boundary of communication between enterprises and the society and provide the resources needed for innovation.Moreover,in addition to obtaining resources through external connections to get rid of resource dilemma,enterprises can use resource bricolage to break the definition of resource attribute of traditional dominant logic and break resource constraint with new value exploration strategy.Enterprises rely on internal resource bricolage strategy to digest and absorb various external resources obtained through their social contacts in order to effectively transform them into the improvement of enterprise performance.Therefore,to clarify the relationship between social connection,resource bricolage and enterprise performance is of far-reaching significance to promote the improvement of enterprise performance.Based on the theory of social network and the theory of resource bricolage,this paper focuses on the external social connection and internal ability of enterprises and explores the influence mechanism of social connection on the performance of SMEs.First of all,according to the review and analysis of relevant literature at home and abroad,it defines the connotation and dimension of social connection,the concept and development of resource bricolage,the connotation of enterprise performance.Secondly,it explores the relationship between social connection,resource bricolage and SMEs’ performance,constructs a conceptual model of the impact of social connection on performance with resource bricolage as mediating variable and resource acquisition ability as modiating variable.330 valid questionnaires from small and medium-sized enterprises were collected by questionnaire survey method,and Mplus8.3 was used to test the research hypothesis.The results show that the social connection(business connection and political connection)has a significant positive effect on SMEs.Resource patching plays a completely intermediary role in the influence of business connection and political connection on the performance of SMEs.Resource acquisition capacity does not play a regulating role in the influence of business connections on resource bricolage.However,resource acquisition capacity plays a positive regulatory role in the influence of political connections on resource bricolage,and is shown as a moderating mediation model.
