A Study On The Idol Effect And The Development Of Self-consciousness Of Junior Middle School Students

The idol effect,as a common phenomenon in the adolescent stage,has caused many school education,family education and even social problems,and has attracted widespread attention from schools and society.The idol effect is a universal psychological phenomenon for young people,and correct guidance will promote students to understand themselves and improve their personality development.So what is the relationship between the idol effect and the self-awareness of young people,and how can the idol effect have a positive impact on the growth of young people? To this end,this study adopts a random sampling survey method,taking junior high school students from a school in Xingtai as the subjects,using basic information questionnaires,idol effect scales and self-awareness scales for testing.Through the analysis of 560 valid questionnaires,the results show:1.The number of middle school students with idols far exceeds the number of middle school students without idols,and the results divided by grade or gender are similar;2.For students with idols,there are significant differences in the types of idols they worship,the reasons for worship,and the degree of involvement in idolatry;3.Among the students with idols,the students who worship singers and movie stars are the most,the students who worship the talents and achievements of idols are the most,and the students who worship the idols are more rational;4.Idol worship is significantly related to the development of self-awareness of junior high school students.Students with idols have significantly stronger self-awareness than students without idols;5.Different types and reasons of idol worship will affect different aspects of self-awareness;6.The degree of involvement in idolatry has a significant positive correlation with the level of self-awareness of junior high school students.Positive and rational idolatry can help junior high school students to develop their self-awareness.According to the research results,in educational practice,educators should take a positive view of the idolatry behavior of middle school students and its importance to the development of self-consciousness.The idolatry behavior should be recognized and understood,and should be adjusted and guided to enable junior high school students.Students’ self-awareness has been well developed,idol effect education has been integrated into daily teaching,paying close attention to society and being close to life.
