| Idol worship is a common phenomenon among junior high school students.Mills,an American sociologist,once proposed the concept of "significant others",which refers to specific individuals who exert significant influence on the socialization process of individuals and enable individuals to obtain a sense of self-identity.As an indispensable "important person" on the growth path of junior high school students,idol will influence their behavior habits,values and ideal pursuit imperceptibly.At the same time,junior high school students as a member of the class,their words and actions will also have a corresponding impact on the class culture.Under the background of the new era,idol worship of junior high school students presents new characteristics,including universality,uncontrollable pluralism,timeliness and virtual,which has positive and negative impacts on class culture.Therefore,it is necessary to comprehensively view its guiding effect on class culture and make good use of idol worship to construct class culture based on the development law and educational characteristics of junior high school students.This paper focuses on the application of idol worship in the cultural construction of junior high school classes.Taking S Middle School in H Province as an example,this paper conducts research with case analysis,questionnaire and interview methods.It is found that the following problems exist in the application of idol worship in the construction of class culture in junior middle school: the influence of idol worship on class culture is ignored;The use of idol type failed to keep up with the changes of The Times and students’ development;Some head teachers lack initiative and show task-based tendency in the process of application.The diversity of application methods and the depth of content need to be strengthened.These problems are mainly caused by the following reasons: some head teachers and students have poor cognition about idol worship;The characteristics of students’ idol worship bring impact to the construction of class culture;Some head teachers do not attach enough importance to their own knowledge and ability.The emphasis on tests and scores over class culture and idolatry;Schools and education authorities lack relevant training requirements for head teachers.Finally,this study puts forward corresponding countermeasures from the head teacher,students,schools,relevant education departments and other subjects in view of the problems and reasons.The first is the head teacher: the head teacher should improve his/her relevant ability and strengthen the understanding of students;The head teacher should attach importance to students’ idol worship and guide them correctly.The head teacher should make good use of idol worship to build class culture.The second is the school: the school should strengthen the teacher training and supervision,pay attention to the home-school cooperation;Strengthen idol education for students and take relevant measures;Establish a reward mechanism,regularly carry out the evaluation of "excellent class culture" and other activities.Finally,relevant education departments: issue relevant documents and policies,strengthen supervision and provide resource support;Strengthen the emphasis on class culture construction and give professional guidance and training;Strengthen the students’ idol worship attention and take relevant measures.The subject of investigation in this paper is the class teacher and students,but the school and relevant education departments,as the superior and manager of the class teacher and the class teacher,have the responsibility of training,supervision and guidance for the class teacher.Therefore,these two subjects will also be mentioned in the part of causes and countermeasures. |
