The value of education is estimated in the course of the history of human being,especially by the stakeholder in family life and also in society.Cases of school bullying has been more and more noticed and aroused a lot of concern and discussion in the society.School bullying seriously endangers pupil’s physical and psychological health,destroys educational and teaching environment and also could be easily developed into a dangerous social issue.However there isn’t a effective measure against the current situation about School bullying.On the basis of documents and literature the author has created a questionnaire to investigate the status in quo of school bullying in rural middle school,the awareness of teacher and pupils regard of school bullying,the influences of school bullying on pupils and problem solving approaches of teachers,parents and their friends.The paper takes the junior high school in Yutian county Tangshan Hebei Province as an example,analyses 476 questionnaires from pupils and 2 interviews from teachers.In view of social learning theory,hierarchy of needs and human relations theory,the paper discusses reasons for school bullying and the following conclusions were reached:(1)School bullying is a very common phenomenon in rural junior high school,it happens even quite often.(2)Boys bully more than girls and are also at a higher risk of being victims.(3)The main form of bullying is physical,verbal bullying also exists.(4)Bullying at school occurs both in form of individual and group.(5)Target of this case study,school C,is a boarding school.Bullying behaviors are mostly found in dormitory,toilet such undetectable places during breaks,before and after school.(6)In the first place is physical injury but also together with mental injury.(7)Victims come mostly from single parent family,who is weak and withdrawn in character and have only a few friends.The proportion of pupils with unbeautiful looks are also potential victims of bullies.Pupils who exhibit bullying behavior have mainly poor school performance and irritable in character.At the same time pupils with good school performance might also exhibit bullying behavior.(8)Comparing pupils in other grades pupils in 9th grade are more likely to be involved in school bullying.(9)The ways how teachers,parents and friends treat with bullies has to be improved.At level of legal and society was relative little attention on such matters received,and was also not solved in time.Therefore,the situation of school bullying in the context of rural area is really complicated and covers not only the field of education in school but also at different levels in the whole society,like judicial education.And thus the problem cannot be solved overnight.In a view of pupils,school,family and society the author attempts to make suitable suggestions of collaboration among these participants in addition to improve the current situation,to eliminate the negative influences of school bullying,and to construct a safety,healthy and harmony school culture.
