Since the reform and opening up,the scale of rural migrant population has gradually expanded, and rural migrant population has become an important grass-roots force for urban economic construction and development. However, rural migrant population has been on the edge of cities for a long time, and the problem of employment and urban integration need to be solved urgently.Existing studies have found that although rural migrant population faces employment discrimination in the labor market, their entrepreneurship rate is higher than that of local residents.Rural migrant population faces dual pressure of "liability of foreignness" and "liability of newness",the existing researches mainly focus on their entrepreneurial behaviors and performance from the perspective of ability and resources, and pay less attention to their psychological motivation and emotional experience.Based on relative deprivation theory, this paper focuses on the impact of social status perception of native family of rural migrant population on their entrepreneurial choice, and further explores the effects of individual human capital, local social network embeddedness and regional institutional environment on the above relationship from micro and macro levels. This paper uses the data of China Labor-force Dynamics Survey(CLDS)in 2014 and 2016 to make an empirical study. It shows that the rural migrant population with lower social status perception is more likely to start businesses, and the local social network embeddedness and institutional environment both significantly weaken the above relationship, entrepreneurship is only an alternative choice for the rural migrant population to achieve employment. The research results of this paper inspire the government to perfect the laws and regulations of the labor market, create a fair and just market atmosphere, eliminate discrimination of the rural migrant population, stimulate the entrepreneurial motivation and entrepreneurial ability of rural migrant population,so that the rural migrant population can freely switch between different types and different levels of occupation.
