| Educational expectation is regarded as an effective predictor of individual education acquisition.Most researchers have paid attention to the effect of educational expectation on students’ academic achievement,but little attention has been paid to student’s learning qualities.School education plays an important role in the cultivation of students’ learning qualities,and family is another important field for students’ growth and development,therefore,parents’ education intervention is also important for the development of students’ learning qualities.As an important aspect of parents’ involvement in students’ education,what’s the relationship between parents’ educational expectations and inputs and students’ learning qualities? This study focuses on the family field,and attempts to show the characteristics of relationship between parents’ educational expectations and students’ learning qualities from the perspective of the interaction of parents’ educational expectations,students’ perception and transformation.All the junior high school students and their parents as the subjects of the questionnaire survey,and at the same time,it is supplemented by interviews with some students and students’ head teachers to collect the research data.The data of 528 effective correlation questionnaires were analyzed by SPSS 25.0.At the same time,the interview data were sorted out by classification.The data was coded according to the researchers’ experience and records on the spot.Based on the above research data,we mainly aimed at the direction of parents’ education expectation pointing to the qualities of students’ learning,and analyzed the related characteristics of the two.The main findings are as follows:First,the expectation of parents’ education is positively correlated with the recognition of parents’ educational value and parents’ understanding of students’ academic performance.The expectation level of parents’ Education in junior high school students is generally high,there is no significant difference between father and mother,students’ gender and students’ grade.What’s more,there is no significant difference between the only child and the non-only child family.But there are significant differences among families with different socio-economic status.Secondly,the main way of parents’ expectation transformation is a series of parents’ Educational inputs.The results show that the overall level of parental educational inputs is high.There are significant differences among families with different socio-economic status and the level of parental education inputs show boy preference.But there is no significant difference in the level of education inputs between father and mother.Thirdly,as for the relationship between parents’ educational expectations and students’ learning qualities,we found that the parents’ educational expectations and parents’ educational inputs are positively correlated with the students’ learning qualities.And the parents’ educational inputs are stronger than that of parents in the degree of correlation with students’ learning qualities.Moreover,the relation is stronger between parents’ educational inputs and students’ process learning qualities.Besides,the positive correlation between the perceived parents’ educational expectations and the level of the students’ perceived parental educational inputs is also stronger than the actual educational expectations of parents,the level of parents’ actual educational inputs and the qualities of students’ learning.In addition,there are common differences in educational expectations between parents and children,which has a significant negative correlation with students’ learning qualities.The students whose self-education expectation is higher than their parents’ educational expectations show better learning qualities.Finally,based on our findings,we believe that there are two ways to connect parents’ educational expectations with students’ learning qualities: First,the objective educational intervention behavior of parents’ education expectation transmission and educational inputs is conducive to the development of students’ learning qualities.Secondly,through the perception of parents’ educational expectations and their educational inputs,students recognize parents’ educational expectations and their educational values,form self-education expectations,and feel parents’ attention and care.These perceptions are transformed into a kind of psychological incentive force,which strengthens students’ learning motivation system and learning maintenance system,so as to improve their learning achievement and make them learn better,and therefore,make the improvement of learning qualities possible. |
