Research On The Intervention Of Social Work In The Protection Of Children’s Rights In Urban Communities

Children are the main support for the present and future development of a country,and they are the main body of social development.In recent years,China’s children’s violations occur frequently.Reports about children’s violations can be seen on various social network media,and the protection of children’s rights has gradually attracted the attention and attention of all walks of life.For the protection of children’s rights,China has formulated laws,regulations and other measures to protect children.For example,in China’s Minor Protection Law(Amendment),the government should cultivate and guide social workers to participate in the protection of minors,and provide professional services for minors’ psychological counseling,rehabilitation assistance,guardianship and adoption evaluation.In this paper,Kaili City C social work institutions in the N community to carry out the protection of children’s rights social work practice service as an example,to explore the shortcomings and practical experience of social work intervention in the protection of children’s rights,and give relevant thinking.The author uses participatory observation method and unstructured interview method to collect data,analyzes and studies the social work practice of children’s rights protection carried out by C social work organization in n community,and understands the situation of community children’s protection work,community children and their parents according to the existing data and services.The study found that: in order to promote the healthy growth and development of children,social workers in institutions use case,group and community work and other professional methods to carry out child protection services from the aspects of children themselves,children’s families and children’s social living environment.Therefore,the protection of children’s rights in C social work institutions is a comprehensive intervention mode.Through the practice of social work,it promotes the development of children’s rights protection and expands the methods of children’s protection.At the same time,there are some challenges in the social work service of child protection,such as insufficient government authorization,low cooperation of community staff,insufficient participation of children and parents,large mobility of staff,lack of professional embodiment of social work,weak institutional economic foundation,and insufficient ability to advance funds.The author also gives some thoughts: including strengthening the government’s support for social work,establishing a child protection network of "community + social work + school + family",improving the ability and awareness of children’s rights protection of institutions and social workers,cultivating professional teams and increasing publicity and education,so as to promote the development of children’s protection concept.
