The "Strategic Plan for Rural Revitalization(2018-2022)" proposes to "vigorously cultivate a new generation of new professional farmers who love agriculture,understand technology,and be good at business,and accelerate the establishment of a comprehensive professional farmer system to achieve the goal of optimizing the structure of agricultural practitioners." As the main force in the cultivation of new-type professional farmers,agricultural vocational colleges have expanded the number of new-type professional farmers through enrollment and education.Curriculum is the key to determining the quality of higher vocational education talents.Although the new vocational farmer curriculum has been developed in continuous reforms,there are still many problems.For example,the types of courses are mostly professional courses,and the lack of introductory courses can not enable students to have a comprehensive understanding of the new type of professional farmers and their abilities and knowledge systems.Students are not very interested,not active in learning,and the learning effect is not up to standard.It is difficult to adapt to the requirements of the cultivation of modern new professional farmers.Therefore,a course of "Introduction to New Professional Farmers" was developed to cultivate new types of agricultural higher vocational colleges in the new era.It is of great significance to professional farmers.The primary link in curriculum development is to choose an appropriate curriculum development model.In the 1990 s,my country introduced the modular curriculum model and achieved good practical results.The curriculum developed using the modular curriculum model is conducive to training and adapting to different positions.A new type of professional farmer with higher professional quality and ability.Therefore,the development of the "Introduction to New Professional Farmers" based on the modular curriculum model is more conducive to improving the quality of the cultivation of new professional farmers and promoting social development and rural revitalization.Through surveys and interviews,this study takes the higher vocational enrollment students of N College in Gansu Province as the survey object,adopts the "Introduction to New Professional Farmers" curriculum demand questionnaire,"Introduction to New Professional Farmers" curriculum satisfaction questionnaire and semi-structured interview outline to the students.The course demand and course implementation satisfaction were investigated.Through investigation and analysis of the results,it can be seen that in the development needs of the "Introduction to New Professional Farmers" course,students have more demand for the current situation of agriculture,rural areas and farmers,professional quality and other content.In terms of teaching and evaluation,students are more Collaborative problem-solving and other teaching design and examination and homework evaluation methods are more agreeable.In the course implementation effect survey,students’ course satisfaction is relatively high.After the course implementation,the students’ professional willingness and performance have been significantly improved,and the teacher’s recognition level is also relatively high,indicating that the modular course of "Introduction to New Professional Farmers" Development and implementation have achieved good results.Through the reflection on the curriculum development process and teaching implementation of "Introduction to New Professional Farmers",this research summarized the following six modular-based new professional farmers’ curriculum development suggestions: First,based on demand analysis,promote the further improvement and perfection of the curriculum;The second is to actively participate in training and teaching research to improve the ability of curriculum development and implementation;the third is to promote the development of school-based teaching materials and the construction of the curriculum module library to provide a resource platform;the fourth is to actively build a curriculum development community to promote common progress;The vocational qualification certificate is integrated into the curriculum system to improve the skill level of students;the sixth is to build an in-depth school-enterprise cooperation system of mutual assistance and win-win,and strengthen the circulation of personnel.
