Reading is the process of acquiring meaning from abstract written speech,which is a unique activity of human beings in the inheritance of knowledge.Academic reading is an important part of scientific research training.It is an important means for graduate students to expand their professional knowledge base,accumulate academic knowledge and track the subject frontiers.It is also an important way to learn research methods and improve their writing ability.To improve the scientific research ability of postgraduate students,it is necessary to read a lot of classic works and cutting-edge literature,and carry out repeated scientific research practice training.In order to grasp the academic reading situation of postgraduate students,enhance the pertinence and scientificity of reading guidance for postgraduate students,and guide them to actively participate in scientific research and innovation,the author carried out an investigation on the academic reading situation of postgraduate students.This study defines the academic reading and reading behavior of the core concepts,read a book to learn theory,build socialist theory and information theory to study the theoretical basis,the index,the graduate student academic reading behavior combined with domestic and foreign academic reading behavior questionnaire compiled questionnaires,The questionnaire was further revised according to the test results and expert advice.This study by D university as the research case,given the subject differences and differences in training scheme,combined with the distribution of D university graduate students,using classification method and random sampling survey method,choose 610 humanities and social science graduate student as the object of investigation,the questionnaire survey to the actual recycling questionnaire,587,Nearly 10% of the total number of postgraduate students in University of G.In addition to the questionnaire,15 postgraduate students from different grades,disciplines and degrees were selected for in-depth interview.In this study,SPSS20.0 and Excel software were used for data analysis.The results of the survey summarize the characteristics of the academic reading seeking behavior,utilization behavior and communication behavior of the humanities and social sciences graduate students,the related problems in the process of academic reading and the influencing factors of academic reading behavior.Chi-square test(cross analysis)was used to compare the differences of academic reading behavior among graduate students of different majors,grades and genders.Based on the analysis of the status differences of graduate students’ academic reading seeking behavior,utilization behavior and communication behavior,this study draws the following conclusions: the utilitarian scale of graduate students’ academic reading is difficult to grasp;The graduate students’ academic reading retrieval ability is insufficient and the utilization rate of library resources is low.The use of cognitive strategies is insufficient,and the level of deep reading needs to be improved.The graduate students’ academic reading time is not enough and the number of academic reading is less.Graduate students participate in fewer institutionalized academic reading activities;The interaction with teachers and students is less,the interaction frequency needs to be improved,and the influence factors are analyzed from the internal and external aspects.According to the conclusion of this paper,from the perspective of graduate students themselves,training units,teachers and libraries,the following countermeasures are put forward: graduate students should form a reasonable cognition of academic reading,grasp the utilitarian scale of academic reading;Postgraduates should improve the strategies and methods of academic reading to improve the quantity and quality of academic reading.Teachers should strengthen the guidance and supervision of graduate students’ academic reading;College to increase the academic reading interaction opportunities,improve the academic reading atmosphere;The library should improve the service function of digital resources and improve students’ information literacy.
