The Study On Social Support Network Construction Of Social Work Intervening The G Of Female Caregivers In Families With Intellectual Disabilities

In our country,persons with intellectual disabilities and their families are a large number of groups that receive little attention from all sectors of society.In the face of imperfect welfare protection policies and the impact of family gender division of Labor,persons with intellectual disabilities are difficult to go out into the society,and the heavy care work is mainly undertaken by their female family members.Female caregivers in families with intellectual disabilities face physical,mental and economic difficulties,and the limited care available to them by all sectors of society has gradually made them a marginalized and vulnerable group in society.In this context,It is necessary to establish a social support network for female caregivers from mentally handicapped families to help them get rid of difficulties in life and nursing.From the perspective of gender theory,it is not difficult to analyze the social phenomenon of women becoming domestic caregivers and Their plight;Through the guidance of social support network theory,using the method of combining case and group work,this paper studies the construction of social support network with the G,a female caregiver of Families of people with intellectual disabilities in Z community of Lanzhou,in order to relieve her mental and physical stress,connect all kinds of resources,and establish the related support network for the female caregivers of mentally retarded families,this paper probes into the method and mode of constructing the social support network.The study found that the caring work of the female caregivers in families with intellectual disabilities is very heavy,and the phenomenon of “Stigmatization”of the group of intellectual disabilities leads to the social exclusion of their female caregivers,has created a“Self-stigmatization.”.Under the pressure of the internal and external environment,the female caregivers of mentally retarded families are suffering from the pressure of caring burden and psychological distress,which results in the restriction of communication in their social life,the tension of their relatives and their inability to make good use of the social support.Through the research on the construction of social support network of female caregivers in intellectual disability families,the following conclusions are drawn: firstly,the combination of rational emotive therapy and case work model can help the female caregivers in intellectual disability families to improve their psychological distress and awaken their consciousness of seeking help;secondly,in the process of constructing social support network,it is necessary to focus on “Bridging”and strengthen their original social support;finally,it is necessary to exert the professional strength of social work to “Expand”their social support and improve their social support network by means of linking resources.The author also puts forward some relevant suggestions,hoping that all circles of society can make full use of their strength to jointly establish a social support system for the female caregivers of mentally retarded families,so as to provide long-term and effective support for the female caregivers of mentally retarded families to break through the difficulties,restore self-confidence and face life positively.
