With the rapid development of new information technology such as artificial intelligence and cloud computing,the degree of application of information technology in different fields is becoming more and more in-depth,which also brings changes in the field of education.The General High School Geography Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition),proposes to innovate learning styles,create authentic situations,deepen the application of information technology,and provide students with open spaces for independent,inquiry and collaborative learning with the help of big data,artificial intelligence,"Internet+" and other information technologies,so as to cultivate students’ core literacy in geography.It can be seen that the new educational philosophy of the new era is asking geography teachers to change their teaching concepts,change traditional teaching methods,integrate information technology in geography teaching resources,and combine information technology with geography situations.Although geography situation’s teaching has made certain research results,it still encounters more problems in the process of implementation.As the core of geography situation’s teaching,the novelty,science and appropriateness of geography situation creation are related to the effect of geography situation’s teaching.With the application of information technology in teaching,the rich data,dynamic presentation and efficient convenience of information technology can inject new vitality into situation’s creation.Therefore,it is necessary to study the combination of information technology and geography situations.In order to better promote the integration of information technology and situational creation and to make this study more relevant,the Stellarium astronomy software is used as an entry point to study the creation of geography contexts based on the Stellarium software.The main research elements are as follows.(1)Analysis of the research context.This study takes students’ development as the centre,relies on the new geography curriculum reform,and is supported by the "tower of experience" theory,constructivist learning theory and situational cognitive theory.It is found that although there are not many direct results of research on the creation of geographical situations,its role and development in geography situational creation is also reflected in a number of studies on information technology-assisted teaching and case design.(2)Analysis of the current situation of geography situational creation based on classroom observation.In the "One teacher,one excellent lesson,one famous teacher" platform,we selected the 2018-2019 classroom observation case of "Moon Phase Changes" of the Humanities Education Edition and designed a classroom observation form for geography situational creation,through which we investigated and analyzed the current situation of geography situational creation,and came up with references and problems in geography situational creation.The lessons are based on the following findings: teachers should choose the type and number of situations reasonably;create geographical situations through rich materials;design inquiry-based situations and problem-based situations reasonably to develop students’ inquiring minds,improve their problem-solving skills,mobilise students’ curiosity and increase students’ classroom participation;and create experimental situations appropriately to improve students’ geographical practical skills.Problems: Lack of board books and practical activities.(3)Strategies for creating geographic situations based on Stellarium software.According to the revelations and problems in the creation of geographical situations,corresponding strategies are proposed and case designs are made based on the Stellarium software.The proposed strategies are: analyse the teaching background,determine the geographical situation,reasonably select the number of situations;clarify the knowledge level,reasonably select and handle the situational materials;create the context of scientific inquiry and design inquiry activities;design problem chains to explore the geographical situation;design experimental activities and practical activities to enrich the situational materials and deepen the geographical situation;Design appropriate board drawings to promote knowledge and understanding.
