| As the highest level of higher education,the status and role of doctoral students is beyond doubt.The scale and quality of doctoral students mark a country’s innovation ability and scientific research technology level.With the continuous expansion of the scale of doctoral students’ enrollment,the quality of doctoral students’ training and the delay of graduation have become increasingly prominent.The motivation of doctoral students is one of the factors that affect the quality of doctoral students’ training and the delay in graduation.Clarifying the motivation of doctoral students will help improve the quality of doctoral students’ training.Therefore,this article explores the influencing factors of academic doctoral students’ motivation to study,understands the current status of academic doctoral students’ motivation for pursuing a doctorate degree,and proposes countermeasures and suggestions on this basis,with a view to making a meager contribution to improving the quality of academic doctoral students’ training.This study makes an empirical analysis of 225 academic doctoral students’ motivation through self-made questionnaire on Influencing Factors of academic doctoral students’ motivation,and concludes the following conclusions: first,the influencing factors of academic motivation are diversified,but the degree of influence is generally low.The influencing factors of academic doctoral students’ motivation are: interest factor,social factor,employment factor,family factor,ideal factor,others influencing factor;The first five factors that affect the motivation of doctoral students are to improve their ability and cultivation,realize personal value,pursue high education,improve their personality characteristics and give the next generation good education;Secondly,there is no significant difference in the factors influencing the motivation of academic doctoral students in different work experience,marriage status,admission mode,subject category,whether they are interdisciplinary or not;Thirdly,there are significant differences in the family factors of academic doctoral students’ motivation in gender,family residence,parents’ education background,nature of parents’ work units and family monthly income,and there are significant differences in age between ideal factors,employment factors,family factors,social factors and other people’s influencing factors;Fourthly,ideal factors have a significant impact on the motivation of doctoral students,family factors have little influence on them,and the degree of interest factors need to be further improved.Based on the above survey conclusions,this article puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions: First,stimulate academic interest based on the ARCS motivation model;second,improve the award policy system and establish an evaluation mechanism for the award system;third,increase the incentives for the introduction of doctoral talents and implement them Implement the talent introduction policy;fourth,diversify and individualize training based on the motivation for studying and the direction of employment. |
