Talent support works as the key to build a powerful country in sports,and talent creativity fostering determines the construction quality of a powerful country in sports to a certain extent.Colleges and universities are regarded as important places for cultivating PE professionals.It has been the focus of experts and scholars in the field of physical education in recent years on how to cultivate and improve the innovation consciousness and creativity of PE students,among which the thinking style,learning strategy and creativity tendency of PE students serve as noteworthy issues.Thinking style refers to a person’s preferred way of thinking when it comes to problem solving.PE students’ different types of thinking styles may show different creative tendencies;Creativity tendency is a kind of advanced mental function,which can be educated.Different strategies adopted in the learning process may affect PE students’ creativity tendency.Therefore,this research discusses the relationship between thinking style,learning strategy and creativity tendency of PE students majoring in volleyball,and provides empirical basis for improving PE students’ creativity tendency level.This research mainly adopts the methods of literature review,psychological measurement and mathematical statistics,investigates 470 PE students majoring in volleyball from 8 sports universities,including Shenyang Sport University,Chengdu Sport University,Jilin Institute Of Physical Education,Capital University of Physical Education And Sports,Wuhan Sports University,Beijing Sport University,Harbin sport university and Xi’an Physical Education University,processed and analyzes the survey results by professional statistical software SPSS22.0 and structure equation modeling package AMOS.Research results:(1)There are significant differences among different variables in thinking style,learning strategy and creativity tendency of college students majoring in volleyball.There are significant differences in thinking style between boys and girls,and the overall level of boys is significantly higher than that of girls;The overall level of thinking style of freshmen and juniors is higher than that of seniors,and juniors have the highest level of creativity tendency.The cognitive strategy level of freshmen and juniors is significantly higher than that of seniors.(2)There is a significant positive correlation between thinking style,learning strategy and creativity tendency of college students majoring in volleyball.Both thinking style and learning strategy can positively predict creativity tendency.This effect is reflected in all four dimensions of creativity tendency,including adventure,imagination,curiosity and challenge.Thinking style can significantly positively predict learning strategies.(3)There is a mediating effect of learning strategy between thinking style and creativity tendency of college students majoring in volleyball,and thinking style has a mediating effect on adventure,imagination,curiosity and challenge of creative tendency in different degrees.Research conclusions:(1)The behavioral preferences of college students majoring in volleyball in their daily study and life can predict their positive psychological tendencies towards creativity activities.(2)The choice of learning strategies that match the thinking style of PE students majoring in volleyball can help to improve their creativity tendency.The higher the matching degree of thinking style and learning strategy is,the higher the positive creativity tendency they will show.(3)Thinking style of college students majoring in volleyball can directly affect creativity tendency,and learning strategy can also indirectly affect creativity tendency,among which learning strategy plays a partial mediating effect between thinking style and creativity tendency.Research recommendations:(1)In view of the differences in thinking styles of male and female college students majoring in volleyball,teachers can choose teaching methods that match the thinking styles of male and female students in the process of volleyball teaching,so as to improve the classroom teaching effect.(2)In the teaching process of college students majoring in volleyball,teachers can teach students how to learn according to the characteristics of their thinking style,so as to improve their creativity;Students can improve their learning efficiency and cultivate their positive creativity tendency by choosing learning methods that match their own thinking style.(3)College students majoring in volleyball should choose appropriate learning strategies according to their own thinking style and characteristics and in combination with their actual learning situation,improve their retelling,finishing and organizing strategies of knowledge,boldly guess and attempt on complex issues,and raise questions bravely,so as to promote their creativity.
