Research On The Intervention Of Group Work In Fraud Prevention Education For Empty Nesters

Under the combined influence of multiple factors such as family structure,interpersonal mobility,and occupational changes,the problems faced by specific groups of elderly people,namely the empty-nest elderly,have increased significantly.Due to the improvement of living standards,the overall income level of the empty-nest elderly is constantly improving,and more and more money at their disposal,coupled with the characteristics of "empty nest",make this group of people face many social problems,the lack of fraud prevention education is just one of them.Due to various reasons,the empty nesters are repeatedly cheated and blamed.However,in recent years,while the community governance and the spiritual needs of the empty-nest elderly in the community have been built,the economic security measures for the empty-nest elderly have been relatively weak,and the tricks targeted at the elderly have been increasing.How to prevent the empty-nest elderly from being deceived and deceived again has become a problem worthy of study and should be concerned by the society.The purpose of this research is to prevent empty-nest elderly from being deceived and deceived again,and through social work group intervention,a systematic education was carried out to improve the professional practice of anti-fraud for empty-nest elderly,referred to as "anti-fraud education".Based on previous research,the group activities provide anti-fraud education services for the empty-nest elderly to improve the quality of life of the empty-nest elderly.According to the questionnaire survey and interview of the empty nesters in W community,social workers have learned three characteristics in the basic situation of the empty nesters in W community: the empty nesters in this community is mainly composed of middle-aged and low-aged elderly,having some savings,and the education level is not high.On this basis,the types and characteristics of the deceived problems of the empty-nest elderly were studied separately,and the needs of anti-deception education for the empty-nest elderly in the W community were more clearly defined.The group work methods were mainly used in medicine and health care,investment and financial management,false shopping advertisements,etc.Several types of scams teach anti-fraud knowledge and cultivate related abilities.This study adopted the method of group work,applied the knowledge of social learning theory and group dynamics,and carried out educational groups to intervene with eight empty nest elderly people,and reached specific conclusions: First,the empty-nesters in W community are unaware of the deception due to their own or external characteristics of deception.Therefore,they have the need to learn fraud prevention knowledge.Therefore,learning relevant knowledge is the key to preventing fraud for the empty-nest elderly;Second,the intervention of group work effectively promoted the fraud prevention awareness of group members and quickly identify and judge different types of fraud.This research systematically combines theory and practice.In the process of group development,social workers take the lead and make various efforts to help the empty-nest elderly learn anti-fraud knowledge,build their own protective support network,enhance anti-fraud awareness,and protect property basic safety,so that the empty-nest elderly can have a life of old age guaranteed by basic economic security.In this regard,social workers need to continue to accumulate practical experience and promote research on the practice of anti-fraud education for the empty-nest elderly.
