With the development of the times and the competition of talents,under the general environment of exam-oriented education,test scores have become an important indicator to evaluate students’ learning and abilities.As an enduring life stress event,tests have affected the growth and development of students to a certain extent.development of.In high school,students’ academic work is more difficult,the pressure is significantly increased,and the degree of test anxiety is also increased.This not only affects the students’ learning status and performance,but also endangers the students’ physical and mental health.The purpose of this paper is to explore the effect of parental rearing styles of high school students on test anxiety,and the mediating role of self-efficacy of learning between parental rearing styles and test anxiety of high school students.In-depth analysis of the causes of test anxiety provides theoretical and practical basis for alleviating students’ test anxiety.The study used 1600 high school students in Changsha and Leiyang in Hunan Province as the research object,using the "Simple EMBU","Test Anxiety Scale"(TAS),and "Study Self-Efficacy Sense" Form(ASS)conducts a questionnaire survey on students.Use the data analysis software SPSS24.0 to analyze the collected data and draw the following conclusions:(1)The parental rearing styles,learning self-efficacy and test anxiety of high school students differ significantly in gender,parental education level,and only child.(2)High school students have a high degree of test anxiety,of which 77.6% have medium or above anxiety level,and 60% of high school students have a higher degree of discomfort.(3)High school students’ sense of self-efficacy is at a slightly lower level,with a minimum score of 15 points and a maximum score of 95 points.Individuals have large differences.(4)There is a significant correlation between parental upbringing,learning self-efficacy and test anxiety,among which learning self-efficacy plays an intermediary role between parental upbringing and test anxiety.Finally,based on the research conclusions of this article and the relevant educational experience at home and abroad,the following suggestions are put forward for the mental health education of high school students:(1)families should adopt positive parenting methods;(2)enhance students’ sense of self-efficacy in learning;(3)Correctly understand and actively respond to test anxiety.
