Research On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of E-sports Majors Or Directions Offered By Universities In Guangdong Province

As an emerging industry,the e-sports industry has entered a stage of vigorous development in China.The rapid economic development of the Guangdong province has laid a good economic foundation for the e-sports industry in the Greater Bay Area.The development of e-sports industry has become an indispensable part of the development of the Guangdong province.And various policies and plans of the Greater Bay Area has also promoted the development of e-sports industry.The rapid development of the e-sports industry needs the support of a large number of e-sports talents.And the training of e-sports talents is of great significance both from the perspective of the national development strategy of the Guangdong province and the development of the e-sports industry.In 2016,the Ministry of Education officially established the major of "e-sports and management".With the emergence of this new major,how to cultivate outstanding e-sports talents has become a new research topic for educators and e-sports enterprises in the Guangdong province.This paper takes e-sports majors offered by some universities in the Guangdong province as the research object.This study analyzed the talent demand characteristics of e-sports industry in the Guangdong province,the current situation,influencing factors and development countermeasures of e-sports majors offered by universities in the Guangdong province.In this study,methods such as literature research,questionnaire survey,logical analysis and expert interview were used.This paper takes the situation of e-sports majors offered by universities in the Guangdong province as an example,and combs out the current situation of e-sports majors or directions based on the characteristics of e-sports talent needs.Including the overall scale of the program,personnel training mode,discipline and specialty construction,curriculum setting,school conditions and resource allocation,found the existing problems.And try to put forward the corresponding countermeasures,for the Guangdong province universities in the future construction and development of e-sports major to provide reference.The results show that universities in the Guangdong province still have some problems in developing e-sports majors or directions,which are mainly reflected in the following aspects:1.The lack of relevant policies of e-sports leads to the serious outflow of talent.2.The perfect training mode has not been formed,which is manifested in the unreasonable curriculum system and the low degree of scientific curriculum;Most of the teaching materials are liberal teaching materials,and there is a lack of teaching materials for different levels and teaching objectives;Insufficient investment in practice setting;Teaching and practice activities are not rich enough.3.Teachers are not competent enough to master the professional knowledge and teaching ability of e-sports,and students are not satisfied with the teaching quality of teachers.4.Inadequate guidance is given to students in major construction,which is manifested in the lack of clear guidance of training objectives and major learning direction;The learning content of the course does not meet the needs of future employment;The employment goal orientation of students is not clear.
