Research On The Development Characteristics And Countermeasures Of Elderly Air Volleyball In Guangdong Province Under The Background Of The Population Aging

As the aging of population is gradually deepening,enhancing physically and mentally healthy level and living quality of the aged has become a significant social issue to be solved in China.As a mass sport with low intensity,high safety factor and strong entertainment,air volleyball can effectively enhance the physically and mentally healthy level and social adaptability of the aged,and finally expedite the process of healthy aging.On this background,literature,questionnaire,interview,mathematical statistics and theoretical analysis methods are used to implement a thorough investigation and analysis on the leaders for the management of air volleyball and the participants of elderly air volleyball from various prefecture-level cities in Guangdong Province.The conclusions are as follows:(1)The elderly air volleyball participants are those who are concentrated between 60 and 70 years old without obvious gender difference;Their occupations before retirement are widely distributed and income sources are stable;The sports they often participate in are mainly relaxed and team sports;enhancing physical health and enriching spare time are their primary participation motivation;They had a good grasp of the frequency,time and intensity of participation and a more comprehensive self-understanding of their own physical conditions.(2)The elderly air volleyball participants in Guangdong Province often exercise in free sports venues such as parks,streets,communities and enterprises and institutions.Although some prefecture-level cities have limited venues and equipment configuration,people generally have a high degree of satisfaction with it.(3)The competitions are mainly organized by the Guangdong veteran’s sports association and small groups in Guangdong Province;The funding source of the event is relatively single,which is mainly self-financed and lack of support from government earmarks and social capital.(4)Guangdong Province has a small number of elderly volleyball referees.Although Guangdong veteran’s sports association held regular training courses for air volleyball referees,there was a shortage of systematic management for referees in the late stage;Although the number of elderly air volleyball coaches in Guangdong Province needs to be improved,their professional coaching ability has accelerated the development of elderly air volleyball in Guangdong Province.(5)Divergence in theoretical cognition,regional and rural-urban obviously existed in the development process of the elderly volleyball in Guangdong Province.That is to say,participants with higher education have a stronger grasp of the technology and theory of air volleyball,the developing level of elderly air volleyball in the Pearl River Delta region,the eastern region and the northern region of Guangdong Province is higher than that in the western region,and the developing level of elderly air volleyball in town is higher than countryside.(6)The government’s attention and organizational ability,venue equipment and facilities,participants’ own conditions,operating funds,local economic developing level and volleyball culture are the six dominant elements affecting the developing of elderly air volleyball in Guangdong Province.On this basis,the following countermeasures are introduced for the effective and comprehensive development of the elderly air volleyball sport in Guangdong Province :(1)Catering to the needs of the elderly and expanding the elderly air volleyball participation crowd.(2)Strengthen the field construction and reasonable planning of the existing air volleyball field.(3)Focus on creating high-quality events and improving the scale of elderly air volleyball events.(4)Attracting outstanding sports talents and improving the organization network of elderly air volleyball.
