A Study Of The Social Work Intervention In The Social Adaptability Of Urban Migrant Children

From the 1990 s to the beginning of the 21 st century,the number of migrant population in China has increased greatly,and the floating pattern has also changed from the original single type of flow to the flow of family as a unit.As a result of this change,migrant children,a new group of potential plight,has emerged in the city.In the face of an unfamiliar environment,migrant children are often unable to integrate well with the environment due to their immature thinking and lack of social experience.Therefore,the social adaptability of migrant children has gradually become a topical issue.Migrant children come to unfamiliar cities with their parents,and often encounter many adaptability problems,such as peer relationships,parent-child relationships,and academic studies.Social work is an emerging discipline in China,and it plays a positive role in the development of migrant children’s social adaptability.This article combines social work theory with social work practice,use scientific and effective theories to find specific models and methods to improve the social adaptability of migrant children in practice,and use evaluation to check the validity of ideas and ideas.The author takes the migrant children of T-organization in a village in Xi’an as the study case,and investigates the basic situation of the T-organization with a combination of participatory observation method,interview method and questionnaire survey method.Based on previous visits and questionnaire surveys,taking 15 migrant children as examples,we analyzed the current situation and existing problems of these migrant children,and used group work methods to plan five group activities from three aspects: living environment,interpersonal relationship,and self-awareness.In the sub-group activities,process evaluation and result evaluation were carried out respectively.Help them establish a harmonious parent-child relationship with their parents,establish friendly communication with friends,learn good living habits and excellent study habits,and have a clearer understanding of themselves,so that these migrant children can adapt well to the new environment,strengthened their sense of dependence on the city.It is expected that the research of this paper can provide help to the migrant children group,improve their social adaptability,and enable the migrant children to develop better in real life.
