The Relationship Between The Parents Work Characteristics And The Migrant Children's Social Adaption:Mediating Role Of Family Functioning

As one of the disadvantaged groups, migrant children has received extensive attention of the society from all walks of life. In recent years, the studies of migrant children's social adaption is also increasing, but most studies only consider the migrant children's own factors, or peer relationship, family upbringing, etc to the influence of migrant children, ignores the parents own factors influence on their children, such as: parents job characteristics affect children's social adaptation.This study adopts questionnaire survey, in sichuan, chongqing and guizhou four to the flow of the third grade children and their parents as the research object, reveals that the parents work characteristics, family function and the relationship between the migrant children's social adaption, further investigation of family function in the parents job characteristics and intermediary effect between migrant children's social adaption.The following main conclusions of this study:(1) the work characteristics of the migrant children parents is in a good situation(M<48, p<0.01), work resources is significantly higher than work requires,but the work resources only in the average level.(2) the father's work features is significantly higher than the mother's work(p<0.001),and the working nature of only children, parents and education level on the working characteristics of the main effect is remarkable.Specifically(p<0.05),parents of only children work demands less than the one-child parents work, the work is higher than the singleton female parents work resources, parents of the nature of the work level and the education level is higher, the lower the job requirement, the higher the work resources.(3) most of the migrant children family type belongs to the balanced, and free high levels in the closeness, shows better flow features of the family, grade, whether the one-child and the nature of work and the education level of parents on the family intimacy and adaptability of the main effect is remarkable(p<0.05).On family intimacy and adaptability, grade third highest score, lowest scoring four grades, the one-child only-child score than the score, the parents of the nature of the work and the education level, the better, the family intimacy and adaptability, the better.(4) the flow of the index in the average level, social adaptation problem behaviors of boys than girls in the problem behavior(p<0.001), parents of the nature of the work and the education level is higher,the higher the child's life satisfaction and positive emotions, the less negative emotional and behavioural problems.(5) A significant correlation exists between the Parents work characteristics,family function, and the migrant children's social adaption(0.09<r<0.74, p<0.01),the partial intermediary role between the Parents work characteristics and migrant children's social adaption ,the mediation effect is 0.204.
