Children Of Incarcerated Parents:the Family Inter-generational Relations Research

With the development of the society,the social welfare system gradually perfected,minor children of incarcerated parents have also been more and more attention.The people not only large number,but also facing complex and varied problems.Due to one or both parents imprisoned,lack of the company of parents make their lives more difficult.On the one hand,they need to be alone with the annoyance "adolescence".On the other hand,their father or mother be limited personal freedom,the difficult of life is not properly cared for,prejudice and under outside pressure,mental health is neglected.Over time,personal growth face challenges.And family as their most important growth environment and spirit,can help them break predicament,family inter-generational relationship plays an indispensable role in it.In this study,the author to restrict personal freedom personnel minor children family inter-generational relationships as the research focus.Trying to family system theory as the research angle of view,to delve into two case example of service process.And selecting one of the parent-child relationship,the relationship between their parents and grandparents as a research focus.Further to explore the basic situation of the family inter-generational relationships,problems of specific performance,causes of problems and the process of the social work intervention and measures.The author through the study found that restrict personal freedom personnel’s minor children family inter-generational relations face many difficulties,mainly manifested in its generation function,the inter-generational interaction and intergenerational emotional links.Family inter-generational relationships influenced by multiple factors,the problem of the cause stems mainly from adverse triangle interaction which from between service object,the imprisoned father or mother and guardians.At the same time,involves three generations between them and interact with other important others.Therefore,the author proposes to reconnect the broken inter-generational family relationship from three aspects: sharing the pressure,improving the ability and promoting the interaction,restore the balance of the inter-generational family relationship,and finally achieve the purpose of promoting the healthy growth and development of the minor children who have incarcerated parents.
