The ethical leadership of tutor is the ability of tutors to use their own academic influence to promote the ethical development of students.It is the core of the improvement of the management efficiency of graduate education,and plays an important role in the implementation of the fundamental task of establishing ethic,the construction of ideological and political work system,and the improvement of the quality of graduate education.The Opinions of the Ministry of Education on Fully Implementing the Duties of Postgraduate Tutors in Moral Education and the Code of Conduct for the Guidance of Tutors also explicitly set forth requirements for the ethical sentiment,personal cultivation and basic codes of conduct of tutors,and regard the ethical construction of tutors as an important link in the development of graduate education.Therefore,the ethical leadership of tutor is a subject worthy of further study.Although the ethical leadership of tutor has gradually attracted the attention of the academic community,there are also some shortcomings and problems that need to be further explored: first,the structure of the ethical leadership of tutor is not clear,and The structure of the ethical leadership remains to be explored;secondly,the understanding of the main manifestations of the ethical leadership of tutor is not comprehensive,and there is no research system to investigate the effect of the ethical leadership of tutor on the demographic variables of graduate students and tutors.Therefore,this study believes that it is necessary to further clarify the basic structure of the ethical leadership of tutor,and on this basis,investigate the main performance of the ethical leadership of tutor,and then help improve the ethical leadership of tutors.This study adopts literature research method,interview method,other-evaluation questionnaire method and grounded theory method to explore the basic structure and main manifestation of the ethical leadership of tutor from the perspective of graduate students’ perception.The research process is as follows :(1)By sorting out the research literature on ethical leadership,the preset dimensions of ethical leadership of tutor are summarized;(2)Through interviews,questionnaires,text analysis,etc.,the cognition of graduate students and tutors on the ethical leadership of tutor was investigated,and the initial dimensions of the ethical leadership structure of tutor were obtained by coding statistics;(3)Through exploratory factor analysis,confirmatory factor analysis and other methods to verify the initial dimensions,the structural model of ethical leadership of tutor is obtained;(4)Through a questionnaire survey among 881 graduate students,the main performance of ethical leadership of tutor was obtained from the perspective of graduate students.Through the above research process,this research has drawn the following conclusions:(1)The structure of ethical leadership of graduate tutors is a second-order model."Virtue" is composed of "Lead by Example" and "Non-Power Influence";"Empowerment" is composed of "social service" and "surrogate leadership".(2)The Questionnaire of Ethical Leadership for Tutor compiled in this study is reliable in reliability and validity.(3)The overall performance of ethical leadership of tutors is good.There are significant differences in the ethical leadership of tutor in demographic variables such as gender of graduate students,graduate education background,graduate discipline and tutor status.
