Procrastination plagues many people,junior high school students are no exception.Self-esteem is a core part of personality formation and has an important impact on mental health.On the other hand,the research of resilience has made a breakthrough.The purpose of this study is to investigate the self-esteem,resilience,procrastination status and correlation of junior high school students.The research method is questionnaire survey.The sample is from a junior high school of Chengdu City,including 571 students from Grade 7 to 9,the average age is13.98±0.82 years old.From the results of the survey data analysis,we get the following conclusions:1)On procrastination behavior,junior high school students are slightly lower than the middle level on the whole,and grade 2 and grade 3are significantly higher than grade 1,but there is no significant difference between grade 2 and grade 3,girls and boys,single children and non only children;2)On self-esteem and resilience,junior high school students are slightly higher than the middle level,and boys are significantly higher than girls,but there is no significant difference among grades,no significant difference between only child and non only child;3)There is a significant positive correlation between self-esteem and resilience,a significant negative correlation between self-esteem and procrastination,also between resilience and procrastination;4)Self esteem can be significantly associated with procrastination behavior;5)Resilience has partial mediating effect between self-esteem and procrastination。...
